On the first of harvest moon night, he came to my door with a soft knock,
"Get up, get up my darlin' girl, and let your lover come in!"
So I went down and let him in and on me, he did fall,
It was sunrise the next day before we got any sleep at all.

On the second night of harvest moon, he came to my door, jiggled the handle,
"Get up, get up, my darlin' girl, before your mother hears me!"
So I went down and let him in and in my arms, he lay,
It was almost mornin' before he finally went away.

On the third night of harvest moon, he came to my door and let himself in,
"I'm sorry I'm late my darlin' girl, I had sneak past your mother!"
He wasn't long within my arms before he laid me down,
And he was out the window and down the road before the morning dew.

On the fourth night of harvest moon, he came to my door with ale,
"Let's have a drink then off to the fire we shall go!"
All the night was a blur of but I saw the future,
And I heard him sigh as he rose again and again, Its only us.

"It's only us. "It's only us."

On the fifth night of harvest moon, he came to my door with a plan,
"Get up, get up my darlin' girl, come down and let's tell your mother!"
So I went down and we spoke, then up the stairs where we gently laid,
Could hardly contain his spirits to meet the stroke of one then asleep till past sun up.

On the sixth night of harvest moon, he took me from my door,
"I will be doing this right since I'll be a father now"
Down to the temple, he carried me and carried back his wife,
and now I am a farmer's wife and a farmer's daughter too.

"It's only us. "It's only us."
"It's only us. "It's only us."
