==About the Ivory Order==
The Ivory Order of the Sun is a mage order that works tirelessly to promote the Greater Good. The Order seeks help those who can't help themselves, to ease the suffering of the masses and to fight those who would seek to cause harm to the peoples of Avlis.

==Prospective Members==
The Order is a mage order, and as such only accepts those with direct control over the arcane. If you like what you have heard, and you are a mage whether young or accomplished, the Order is definitely interested in speaking with you.

You should seek an Ivory mage in you home region, and speak with him or her about becoming involved. Before applying find out all you can about the various Orders to make sure the Ivory seems right for you. Once you have decided you want to join, you will go through a two step process:

First you will need to speak with both a Senior and a Great mage regarding your interest, after which you will be invited to a meeting of the Order to take the oath of an initiate. After becoming an initiate you will want to attend both of the AMM lectures if you haven't already. Finally after a period of time has elapsed if all has gone smoothly you can take the oath and become a full member at a subsequent meeting.

==History==
The Ivory Order was founded by Melonius Mennallin at the behest of Chert, the last archmage of the White Order of the old Fold of Nine. Chert charged Melonius with founding a mage order dedicated to the ideals that the White and similar orders had represented. The name Ivory Order of the Sun was chosen to symbolize light and a new beginning.

After the events of the [[Mikona:Historic_Events#2003|Vortex of Chaos]], Melonius accepted [[Andrinor]]'s offer to become part of his newly formed Trust along with the [[Guild:AshenOrder|Ashen]] and [[Guild:EbonyOrder|Ebony]] Orders. The Ivory would honor Andrinor as the god of magic, and in return Andrinor would grant the Ivory a voice in a new council with a mandate to regulate arcane magic on Avlis.

Shortly after this Melonius stepped down as archmage, selecting Great Mage of Internal Affairs Talman Grumb to be the second archmage of the Ivory Order. Talman named Lafreth Theoalideth as his new Great Mage of Internal Affairs. In his fourth year as archmage Talman inexplicably vanished, and was replaced by Great Mage of Relations D'Anjal Veskandar Ra. D'Anjal presided over the Ivory Order for nearly two decades [[Hammer of Lithandiel|until he was slain by the demi-lich Lobera]], who prevented D'Anjal's body from being raised. He was succeeded by Lafreth Theoalideth, whose apprentice Jarius Hana succeeded him as Great Mage of Internal Affairs.

The Ivory Order was given its modern form at the end Lafreth's tenure. As his last act before stepping down, Lafreth divided the Ivory into two separate entities, each to be led by one of his former apprentices: the [[Guild:WhiteOrder|White Order]] under Fergus Goodmane, and the new Ivory Order under Jarius Hana.

The modern Ivory can be seen as a successor to the ideals of the Silver Order of the old Fold of Nine. Jarius was eventually called away on a matter which he spoke of to none but Lafreth, from which he never returned. Jarius's successor was Tralil Breck, who would go on to pioneer the art of Fatespinning. The seventh and current archmage is the wemic Mhog'ar, the first non-elf to hold the position since Talman Grumb.

==About the Ivory Order==
The Ivory Order of the Sun is a mage order that works tirelessly to promote the Greater Good. The Order seeks help those who can't help themselves, to ease the suffering of the masses and to fight those who would seek to cause harm to the peoples of Avlis.

==Prospective Members==
The Order is a mage order, and as such only accepts those with direct control over the arcane. If you like what you have heard, and you are a mage whether young or accomplished, the Order is definitely interested in speaking with you.

You should seek an Ivory mage in you home region, and speak with him or her about becoming involved. Before applying find out all you can about the various Orders to make sure the Ivory seems right for you. Once you have decided you want to join, you will go through a two step process:

First you will need to speak with both a Senior and a Great mage regarding your interest, after which you will be invited to a meeting of the Order to take the oath of an initiate. After becoming an initiate you will want to attend both of the AMM lectures if you haven't already. Finally after a period of time has elapsed if all has gone smoothly you can take the oath and become a full member at a subsequent meeting.

==History==
The Ivory Order was founded by Melonius Mennallin at the behest of Chert, the last archmage of the White Order of the old Fold of Nine. Chert charged Melonius with founding a mage order dedicated to the ideals that the White and similar orders had represented. The name Ivory Order of the Sun was chosen to symbolize light and a new beginning.

After the events of the [[Mikona:Historic_Events#2003|Vortex of Chaos]], Melonius accepted [[Andrinor]]'s offer to become part of his newly formed Trust along with the [[Guild:AshenOrder|Ashen]] and [[Guild:EbonyOrder|Ebony]] Orders. The Ivory would honor Andrinor as the god of magic, and in return Andrinor would grant the Ivory a voice in a new council with a mandate to regulate arcane magic on Avlis.

Shortly after this Melonius stepped down as archmage, selecting Great Mage of Internal Affairs Talman Grumb to be the second archmage of the Ivory Order. Talman named Lafreth Theoalideth as his new Great Mage of Internal Affairs. In his fourth year as archmage Talman inexplicably vanished, and was replaced by Great Mage of Relations D'Anjal Veskandar Ra. D'Anjal presided over the Ivory Order for nearly two decades [[Hammer of Lithandiel|until he was slain by the demi-lich Lobera]], who prevented D'Anjal's body from being raised. He was succeeded by Lafreth Theoalideth, whose apprentice Jarius Hana succeeded him as Great Mage of Internal Affairs.

The Ivory Order was given its modern form at the end Lafreth's tenure. As his last act before stepping down, Lafreth divided the Ivory into two separate entities, each to be led by one of his former apprentices: the [[Guild:WhiteOrder|White Order]] under Fergus Goodmane, and the new Ivory Order under Jarius Hana.

The modern Ivory can be seen as a successor to the ideals of the Silver Order of the old Fold of Nine. Jarius was eventually called away on a matter which he spoke of to none but Lafreth, from which he never returned. The current archmage is Jarius's successor, Tralil Breck, the sixth archmage since the Ivory's founding and the second since the reformation.

Chert charged Melonius with founding a mage order dedicated to the ideals that the White and similar orders had represented. The name Ivory Order of the Sun was chosen to symbolize light and a new beginning.

After the events of the [[Mikona:Historic_Events#2003|Vortex of Chaos]], Melonius accepted [[Andrinor]]'s offer to become part of his newly formed Trust along with the [[Guild:AshenOrder|Ashen]] and [[Guild:EbonyOrder|Ebony]] Orders. The Ivory would honor Andrinor as the god of magic, and in return Andrinor would grant the Ivory a voice in a new council with a mandate to regulate arcane magic on Avlis.

Shortly after this Melonius stepped down as archmage, selecting Great Mage of Internal Affairs Talman Grumb to be the second archmage of the Ivory Order. Talman named Lafreth Theoalideth as his new Great Mage of Internal Affairs. In his fourth year as archmage Talman, inexplicably vanished and was replaced by Great Mage of Relations D'Anjal Veskandar Ra. D'Anjal presided over the Ivory Order for nearly two decades [[Hammer of Lithandiel|until he was slain by the demi-lich Lobera]], who prevented D'Anjal's body from being raised. He was succeeded by Lafreth Theoalideth, whose apprentice Jarius Hana succeeded him as Great Mage of Internal Affairs.

The Ivory Order was given its modern form at the end Lafreth's tenure. As his last act before stepping down, Lafreth divided the Ivory into two separate entities, each to be led by one of his former apprentices: the [[Guild:WhiteOrder|White Order]] under Fergus Goodmane, and the new Ivory Order under Jarius Hana.

The modern Ivory can be seen as a successor to the ideals of the Silver Order of the old Fold of Nine. Jarius was eventually called away on a matter which he spoke of to none but Lafreth. The current archmage is Jarius's successor, Tralil Breck, the sixth archmage since the Ivory's founding and the second since the reformation.

The Ivory Order of the Sun is a mage order that works tirelessly to promote the Greater Good. The Order seeks help those who can't help themselves, to ease the suffering of the masses and to fight those who would seek to cause harm to the peoples of Avlis.

==Prospective Members==
The Order is a mage order, and as such only accepts those with direct control over the arcane. If you like what you have heard, and you are a mage whether young or accomplished, the Order is definitely interested in speaking with you.

You should seek an Ivory mage in you home region, and speak with him or her about becoming involved. Before applying find out all you can about the various Orders to make sure the Ivory seems right for you. Once you have decided you want to join, you will go through a two step process:

First you will need to speak with both a Senior and a Great mage regarding your interest, after which you will be invited to a meeting of the Order to take the oath of an initiate. After becoming an initiate you will want to attend both of the AMM lectures if you haven't already. Finally after a period of time has elapsed if all has gone smoothly you can take the oath and become a full member at a subsequent meeting.

==About the Ivory Order==
The Ivory Order of the Sun is a mage order that works tirelessly to promote the Greater Good. The Order seeks help those who can't help themselves, to ease the suffering of the masses and to fight those who would seek to cause harm to the peoples of Avlis.

==Prospective Members==
The Order is a mage order, and as such only accepts those with direct control over the arcane. If you like what you have heard, and you are a mage whether young or accomplished, the Order is definitely interested in speaking with you.

You should seek an Ivory mage in you home region, and speak with him or her about becoming involved. Before applying find out all you can about the various Orders to make sure the Ivory seems right for you. Once you have decided you want to join, you will go through a two step process:

First you will need to speak with both a Senior and a Great mage regarding your interest, after which you will be invited to a meeting of the Order to take the oath of an initiate. After becoming an initiate you will want to attend both of the AMM lectures if you haven't already. Finally after a period of time has elapsed if all has gone smoothly you can take the oath and become a full member at a subsequent meeting.

==History==
The Ivory Order was founded by Melonius Mennallin at the behest of Chert, the last archmage of the White Order of the old Fold of Nine. Chert charged Melonius with founding a mage order dedicated to the ideals that the White and similar orders had represented. The name Ivory Order of the Sun was chosen for what the sun represented: light and a new beginning.

After the events of the Vortex of Chaos, Melonius accepted Andrinor's offer. The Ivory would honor Andrinor as the god of magic, and in return Andrinor would grant the Ivory a voice in a new council with a mandate to regulate arcane magic on Avlis. Along with the Ashen and Ebony Orders, the Ivory became one of the three founding Orders of Andrinor's Trust.

The Ivory Order was given its modern form at the end of the tenure of the fourth archmage, Lafreth Theoalideth. As his last act before stepping down, Lafreth divided the Ivory into two separate entities, each to be led by one of his former apprentices: the [[Guild:WhiteOrder|White Order]] under Fergus Goodmane, and the new Ivory Order under Jarius Hana.

The modern Ivory can be seen as a successor to the ideals of the Silver Order of the old Fold of Nine. The current archmage is Jarius's successor, Tralil Breck, the sixth archmage since the Ivory's founding and the second since the reformation.

==About the Ivory Order==
The Ivory Order of the Sun is a mage order that works tirelessly to promote the Greater Good. The Order seeks help those who can't help themselves, to ease the suffering of the masses and to fight those who would seek to cause harm to the peoples of Avlis.

==Prospective Members==
The Order is a mage order, and as such only accepts those with direct control over the arcane. If you like what you have heard, and you are a mage whether young or accomplished, the Order is definitely interested in speaking with you.

You should seek an Ivory mage in you home region, and speak with him or her about becoming involved. Before applying find out all you can about the various Orders to make sure the Ivory seems right for you. Once you have decided you want to join, you will go through a two step process:

First you will need to speak with both a Senior and a Great mage regarding your interest, after which you will be invited to a meeting of the Order to take the oath of an initiate. After becoming an initiate you will want to attend both of the AMM lectures if you haven't already. Finally after a period of time has elapsed if all has gone smoothly you can take the oath and become a full member at a subsequent meeting.

==History==
The Ivory was founded by Melonius Mennallin before the formation of Andrinor's Trust. Under Melonius, the Ivory became one of the three founding Orders of the Trust along with the Ashen and Ebony.

The Ivory Order was created in its modern form at the end of the tenure of the fourth archmage, Lafreth Theoalideth. As his last act before stepping down, Lafreth divided the Ivory into two separate entities, each to be led by one of his former apprentices: the [[Guild:WhiteOrder|White Order]] under Fergus Goodmane, and the new Ivory Order under Jarius Hana.

The modern Ivory can be seen as a successor to the ideals of the Silver Order of the old Fold of Nine.

Mhog'ar is a male [[Wemic|wemic]] who usually walks around in an altered ivory robe in [[Elysia|Elysia]]. The robe misses the lower part and the cloak, making it look like a shirt. He is a bit smaller than the average male wemic and has some scars showing on his lower body. 
If anyone is looking for Mhog'ar, the best chances to find him is by ringing the gong at the H.E.A.L. shop in the [[Elysia#Northern_Residences|northern district]]. 
Mhog'ar is a skilled alchemist, herbalist, tailor and blacksmith.

== Background ==
As he tells most the tale how he became a mage, when he is not late for a meeting... In his youth he got the standard training in his pride in [[Drotid|Drotid]]: learning to fight. He has to admit that he could keep up with most all cubs by dancing around their axes and blades. But they all knew his weakness and waited and kept deflecting his blows with ease. Because in the end they all knew that his stamina would run out and they would get him. Mhog'ar still has the scars to show for it. He usually says "I stank at fighting". 
The pride elders feeling sorry for him tried to find something he was better at. The local shaman of the pride took him under his wing and taught him the basics of casting. Being eager and much better at it then fighting the shaman realised soon that he had to send Mhog'ar off to [[Le'Or_T'Nanshi|Le'Or T'Nanshi]] so that the [[Elf|elves]] could teach him more of magics. So Mhog'ar left the pride at the age of 8. 
After having spend only a few months in Le'Or he left for [[Elysia|Elysia]] where he ran into Aria, who helped him to grow, saved him a few times and taught him a lot. She later introduced him into the old [[Guild:IvoryOrder |Ivory Order of the Sun]]. Mhog'ar is now the great mage of relations of the new Ivory Order of the Sun after having been the senior mage of [[Ferrell|Ferrell]] for a few years.

==About the Ivory Order==
The Ivory Order of the Sun is a mage order that works tirelessly to promote the Greater Good. The Order seeks help those who can't help themselves, to ease the suffering of the masses and to fight those who would seek to cause harm to the peoples of Avlis.

==Prospective Members==
The Order is a mage order, and as such only accepts those with direct control over the arcane. If you like what you have heard, and you are a mage whether young or accomplished, the Order is definitely interested in speaking with you.

You should seek an Ivory mage in you home region, and speak with him or her about becoming involved. Before applying find out all you can about the various Orders to make sure the Ivory seems right for you. Once you have decided you want to join, you will go through a two step process:

First you will need to speak with both a Senior and a Great mage regarding your interest, after which you will be invited to a meeting of the Order to take the oath of an initiate. After becoming an initiate you will want to attend both of the AMM lectures if you haven't already. Finally after a period of time has elapsed if all has gone smoothly you can take the oath and become a full member at a subsequent meeting.

'''Galdos''' has its roots long ago, when [[Gorethar]] created his patron race, the [[Dwarf|dwarves]]. He set them onto the world as a single clan, The Gald, meaning "stalwart" in the ancient dwarven tongue. It was not long before this one clan spread throughout the mountains where they were created, and diversified slightly in culture and craft. By that time, they had become many clans, tracing their roots back to Gald. Knowing that their best hope of survival against the greater wide world was to have unity, it came time that the leaders of the clans met together to decide which would lead them all. Though they were all rightful decendents of the Gald, there were many branches with different qualities, and no one branch felt they had the right to unilaterally claim the Gald name for their own. So, the clans petitioned their god, Gorethar, to give them an answer. In response, Gorether set before them a series of tests. Though nearly all of his creations were kind-hearted and honorable, they were not equal in strength of character and heart. The tests, it is recorded, were devised by Gorethar to separate out the subjects from the rulers of the land: those who would be noble, and those who would be common. The exact nature of these tests was lost to history, but it is traditionally held that they were trials of courage and wisdom, and the ability to lead. It was also agreed by all the participating dwarven clans that the results of the trials would be honored forevermore, and that the winners would be Gorethar's messengers on Avlis.

Thus was the social structure of the newly forming nation determined. A hearty and charismatic dwarf named Burlock Firehammer rose above the other contestants, and his clan name was accordingly changed to Gald. He became the first king of the new united dwarven nation: Galdos. The other clans who scored well in the contest were given rewards by Gorethar, as well as jobs serving the governing Gald clan in many areas, which afforded them nobility among the population. The contest and its outcome were epic events that led to the birth of the new dwarven nation, which stretched from the northern tip of the continent, just below Tyedu, down to the elven nation of T'Nanshi.

The Gald family dynasty still rules Galdos to this day. The capital city of Galdos is [[Galdhaut]], which means "Home of the Galds." The nation is built on principles of hard work and honor preached by Gorethar, and it functions as a bastion of his faith. A great many dwarves practicing a great many trades with fine precision populate the underground nation, and they live in relative peace when compared to the nations on the surface. Many wars have gripped Avlis, and few have touched Galdos. This is largely due to the fact that the country as a whole is like a fortress. It is difficult to get in. The dwarves control every inch of every tunnel. Only the deepest areas below Galdos are still occupied by underdark monstrosities. The dwarves have spent many centuries clearing the areas and populating them.

The nation itself is generally arranged into clans. The noble clans were given control over large portions of territory, and told to report back to the High King. Within these noble districts, the common clans live peacefully. Politics between clans does exist, and greed has been known to sour relations between them. However, civil war and overt fighting between the clans has never been known, except in the years after Fegall's ascension, when a large portion of the southern clans of Galdos began their transformation into gnomes. The reason for the transformation was due in large part to their worship of this new deity, and with it came large changes in outlook and attitude that were no longer compatible with the north. Luckily, in the end, King Redrick Gald III, who ruled during that era, decided to avert war by appointing his son Rupert Gald the King of the South. He awarded the land of the southern clans to King Rupert, and told them to depart peacefully. Rupert, who was married to a gnome, immediately dispersed the monarchy and set the country to rule by guilds. Thus Deglos was born from Galdos.

Today, the outlook of Galdos is still apparent. As a nation, they value their isolation and do not take kindly to visitors, unless the visitors are worshippers of Gorethar or some other goodly and honorable deity. Trade with other nations is not too common, though they have been known to trade with their cousins in Deglos from time to time. Galdosian dwarves look down on Deglos for its open and more cosmopolitan attitude, since Deglos is not nearly as isolationist. In their minds, the Galdosians wish to keep their country pure and free from evil invaders. To some individuals, that simply means any non-dwarf. To others, it simply means anyone not born in Galdos. The difference is mere semantics. The two groups agree in practice, and they like to keep it that way.

===Brief History===

Initially known as Leo's Mercenaries under the leadership of [[PCs:Leopold Phefefhur|Leopold Phefefhur]], the group was hired by [[PCs:Melonius_Mennallin|Melonius Mennallin]] founder of the city state of [[Visimontium]] to supervise the [[Miriel%27s_Guide_to_Visimontium#Migration_to_Visimontium_.282150.29|migration]] of the nearly one hundred thousand migrants from the southern lands of [[M'Chek]] to the new city of [[Andrinor]]. The group was renamed the Sentinels of Visimontium after the migration met a success. The Sentinels were later appointed as Visimontium's standing army and local law enforcement agency. Unique addition to the sentry are the towering guard golems. The Sentinels nominally have about 12,000 members, or one law enforcement official for every 20 people (last approximation of the total Visimontium populace is 280,000).
