How do you know, when you’ve found the perfect prey?<br><br />
You stalk, you hunt, this I know, but how do you pray?<br><br />
I asked the wise hunter one day…<br><br />

What do you do, after you tracked so far?<br><br />
Into his eyes I was looking, ideas in my mind cooking…<br><br />
The fortune teller said, the gods of the forest are<br><br />
In every life and death….really helpful…arrgh!<br><br />
So what do you do, to honor Pelar<br><br />
I asked the wise hunter one day<br><br />

The Hunt has many facets, but breaks down to four… <br><br />
My ears were twitching as I was listening… <br><br />
The choice of a worthy prey, for Pelar’s attention, be it animal or…<br><br />
A quest, a task, a mission or more…<br><br />
Sometimes even, it’s a choice of hunting down lore.<br><br />
This is what my wise hunter had to say<br><br />

After the choice, come the stalk and the kill…<br><br />
He was patiently telling, story weaving,<br><br />
Trace the path, use all of your skills…<br><br />
Keep going, stay brave, you have your fill<br><br />
Even though you have your prey, you’re not done until…<br><br />
I leaned in to hear what the wise hunter had to say<br><br />

I asked the wise hunter one day,<br><br />
I asked him to tell me <br><br />
And this is what he had to say…<br><br />

Finally, what you want to learn, the ritual…<br><br />
Muffin nibbling, word choosing…<br><br />
To pay tribute, to honor Pelar, is individual<br><br />
This is mine, take it as you will…<br><br />
I always save something small, a claw, from each kill<br><br />
I leaned in to hear what the wise hunter had to say <br><br />
<br><br />
I find a source, of natural water so clear<br><br />
Tale telling, lore spreading,<br><br />
Burn my offering in this obsidian bowl, until it’s just ashes dear<br><br />
Sprinkle them on the earth, in the water, in the air<br><br />
Pay tribute to the elements, my ritual to Pelar, that I hold dear…<br><br />
