|Most_Compatible_Notes= I put the deer with the dire boar because that is where I would put goats, sheep, and cows. They are are all animals that forage more then hunt and some of them have domestic relatives.
|Introduction= Typically docile in nature, these skittish herbivores, gather in small groups that scatter quickly when threatened. Often they are hunted for their hides.
|Feeding_Habits= Deer are browsers. Feeding on all sorts of plants even fungi, lichens, small twigs and tree bark. Like goats and horses, they will also seek out natural salt licks.
