|Introduction= About the size of a domestic cat, males are usually larger then females. Their fur changes from season to season. Fishers have five toes on each foot with retractable claws. Their large feet make it easy for them to move across snow. They can rotate their hind ankles almost all the way round meaning they are very good at climbing and defending trees. They prefer to come down head first.
