	~~Annie was born on 29 December, 2150 in [[Mikona]]. Her mother, Jamia, died of dystocia. Depressed of her mother's death, her father, Fendrick, became a sot and gambler.~~

	Annie has no siblings. Her father remarried when Annie was 2. This remarriage turned out to be unsuccessful. Fendrick and his new wife quarrelled almost every day. After 3 months, she disappeared together with all the money and valuable items in the house. No longer able to pay the rent, Fendrick had to move with Annie to [[Mikona#The_Residential_Area\|the Slums]].

	~~Annie spent her childhood playing with other slum kids. She got the nickname Kitty because of her agility.~~

	Fendrick's personality became capricious. Sometimes he was good to Annie. He taught Annie many things, including basic [[Rogue]] skills. But sometimes, especially when he was drunk, he got angry very easily and beat Annie. Soon Annie learned to sneak out of the house right before Fendrick came home and sneak back in after he fell asleep.

	When she turned 14, Annie found a job at The Rompin' Romini Inn. Occasionally some customers would talk about a group of mysterious people called [[Shadowdancer\|Shadowdancers]]. Although vague, those tales deeply impressed Annie.

	~~Just as Annie was starting to feel an urge to explore the outside world, her life changed forever.~~

	One morning, Annie woke up to find Fendrick gone. It was not unusual for Fendrick to disappear at night, but this time Annie felt uneasy. She couldn't tell why, but for some reason she felt being watched. As she carefully searched the house for any messages Fendrick might have left, she noticed the secret locker behind Fendrick's bed. Annie discovered her father's secret locker long ago, but was never able to unlock it. Today there was a different lock on it. Annie successfully unlocked the locker, and found out Fendrick's true identity: an [[Assassin]]. Inside the locker there was a dagger, a short sword, several tubes of poison, and some other [[Assassin]] tools. There was also a small note, which said, "GET OUT OF MIKONA". Annie recognized it was her father's handwriting.
