			SONGS OF ADVENTURE vol 1
			By William Lightheart


			The Ranger at Elf Gate

			Here is a funny thing that I did see
			A beautiful lass, did entertain me
			Taunting a ranger at Elf Gate
			Along with a half-orc, it was great
			The young ranger it seems was unprepared
			After examination he appeared to be scared

			But of course this was all just in jest
			No harm would come to the ranger at best
			The worst thing that would happen to him you see
			Would be to get dazed a few times magically
			And maybe be told of a magical spell
			To be changed in to a frog as well

			No, no harm would come to anyone that day
			Just some fun to be had along the way
			This story it true without a doubt
			But to protect those involved, the names are left out
			And if you become so calloused and hard
			Spice up you life by watching a bard

			A Young Fighter I Met

			A young fighter was he
			Full of vigor and glee
			A very eager young lad
			A strange custom he had
			He liked to expose his feet
			To new people he would meet

			A venturing we did go
			For him we moved too slow
			Often we yelled for him to wait
			But our efforts, they were too late
			In to the battles he would rush
			Squashing the creatures in to mush

			A word of caution I freely give
			Slow down today if you want to live
			You see young fighters, the battles are tough
			And by yourself you may not have enough
			Of what it takes to finish the fight
			And find yourself walking towards the light

			A Trip to the Orc Caves

			While I was walking by
			I stopped at the gate to say hi
			And then was invited to go
			To a new place I did not know
			And it just turned out to be
			An interesting adventure for me

			To the Orc Caves in Ferrell we went
			And by the end of the trip I was spent
			It really is a dangerous place
			And I would not have made it if not for the grace
			Of those who took me along
			Just so I could sing them a song

			I should have known it was going to be bad
			When some chickens made me a petrified lad
			Not once but twice that day
			I was turned to stone along the way
			Then the traps that were in there
			The fireballs they threw singed my hair

			I must admit it was a race
			To get out of that terrible place
			And before we got to the end
			I found myself again and again
			Being pulled from the fight
			And walking towards a very bright light

			Four Monks and a Bard

			With Four Monks on a venture I did go
			Compared to them I was quite slow
			To the Forest of Midnight we went
			And by the end of the trip I was spent
			Not from fighting undead you see
			But because the monks are much faster than me

			I really must say watching them was a treat
			They are so fast and light on their feet
			With arms and legs flying in the air
			And undead body parts going everywhere
			The creatures we fought really had no chance
			As I sang a song and the monks did their dance

			Now the purpose of this little session
			Was really to teach us all a lesson
			Our leader's instructions were shown to be true
			Keeping the group together can prevent harm from coming to you
			Now this lesson to learn is really not hard
			Why it can even be taught to a young fighting bard
