What is known of the order is little.  It is not a religious order, though it seems that the monks may worship certain deities on their home plane.  The order seeks the secrets of life by studying death. It is the condition of being dead that concerns them most, and not what lies beyond: The afterlife holds little interest for them. They seek to understand death as it pertains especially to intelligent living beings.

The Order of the Long Death is not native to Negaria; it is found on an entirely different plane of existence. However, items made for or by the order have been found here, likely imported by interplanar traders such as Grazby.

It is rumored that, inspired by the items found here, native Negarians, perhaps worshipers of Dagath or The Harpinger, have formed a branch of the Order of the Long Death somewhere in southern Negaria, but this in wholly unconfirmed.
