This girl is a lover of freedom and jokes. Always smiling, giggling and up to a good talk or adventure, after all she was born to live. Always there whenever a party or adventure is called, this girl always carry two things ... her bow and the PARTY IN A BOX.

After some time in the city of mikona, she has made a lot of friends like [[PCs:Robert Wallace|Robert]] and [[PCs:Raen|Miss Raen]], who helped her to get through the living of a sorcerer and bard, and [[PCs:Char'Jer|Char'Jer]] who helped her to see the beauty in life and love.

Nowadays she can be seen in mikona be her having a chat with some of friends near the [[Mikona#Garrison.2FGate_District|Rock]], walking around after something to craft or having spending her time with her love Char.

====The Begining of All====
<div align="justify">
Born somewhere between M'Chek and Deglos in a group of itinerant merchants, Scientia (as her parents used to call her) always traveled through avlis in a wagon but was always kept in minor isolation, in a way that she never knew much about the outside world. It was in a sad day that all was about to change. The caravan was attacked by a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugbear_(Dungeons_&_Dragons) BugBear] Tribe, and all those able to fight back started doing so. Her father Hericus, a former soldier, was in the fight along with her mother Ciara, a former healer.

Scientia watched the whole fight and was able to see how cruel things can be and how one can fight heroically when they are to deffend the ones they care about. She saw both, Father and mother fighting side by side and not giving up until that both were done ... both died at the same time as one of the last standing bugbear stroke the fatal blow.

The battle custed both sides a lot of lives, but the BugBears were winners that day. They turned their eyes to the caravan where the spoils were, along with Scientia and her older brother Petrus.
Scientia still can't remember very well if it was the fear or the rage but both, she and her brother, casted spells releasing a great power that took down the killer bugbears and bliinded the rest of them, leaving the way clear for them to run away into the arid landscapes of M'Chek.

====New Life====

After having wandered for some time, Scientia and her brother found and old ranger in the woods of [[T'Nanshi]]. In fact, he found them as he went for his ordinary patrols and found them both almost dead. Scientia had fainted after the long time in the woods, and her brother was carring her tring to find some place safe.

The old Marcus offered them shelter and healing for the wounds as some of his knowledge of the ways of a ranger. They stayed with the old ranger learning from him as Petrus focused on the combat knowledge that was tought, as Scientia learned the ways of a healer and created with the old Marcus a bound.

Not a long time passad before Petrus decided to leave the two of them as he seeked for revange. He left his sister in the cares of Marcus during the night to return upon having his revange ... somehow. A long time passed since that day, and even though Scientia missed her brother, her bound to Marcus would grow day after day. In those times she learned a lot about her self being and about her nature.

They kept this life going until the day that Marcus died. After that moment, things started only to get worst. Her brother returned after his adventures ... he was changed. His mind was twisted in a way that the old values were worth nothing now. He claimed that she wasn't worth or deserving of anything she had in life until one day after, a major argumentation, he attacked her. As she felt her life being drained, she felt an mist of rage, fear and sadness ... that was no longer her brother ... and after some time ... no longer alive.

By the second time she had blood on her hands, and for the first time she was really alone. She knew what she had to do ... she buried the body of her brother, as the last thing in name of the old memories, and left to the south until she finally reached the gates of Mikona where she would start her new life

====First Steps====
As Scientia left the north seeking shelter in the southern lands, she found the gates of mikona waiting for her. It was a rainy day and she didn't have much but, somehow, she knew she would make it. After looking around the city for some time, she went near the bored gargolye inn where she met one to be called friend and in love in the future. Char was going for some adventuring and took Scientia along. As this girl, now known as Sci, was getting closer and adventuring with him, she was introduced to some of his friends. Among these friends was the [[Guild:FFG|FFG]] leader, Robert Wallace, who would guide her through the path of a sorcerer.

====New Learnings====
After some time in town, she would soon learn that just as she had her enemies and hate were to spread in the past, so was it to happen yet again in mikona. The life and world would reveal it's face as a big group of [[Elf,Sereg|Seregs]] started attaking and killing all that would be in their way. The city decided to have a retaliation attack. That was the first big adventure she had, where she met many others of the adventurers of these lands. Among those adventurers, there was a lovelly bard by the name of [[PCs:Raen|Raen]].

After listening to miss Raen, Sci decided that she could learn how to do that ... she had it within. She started praticing until the day she felt she was ready to meet Raen again. This new friend guided her through this new bright path, inviting sci to perform at Mikona's Finest Playhouse and the [[MMM]], where she would met new friends like [[PCs:Elong Singalong|Elong]].

At the first MMM, Sci performed a [[Char'Jer's Song|song]] for the one that, at that time, was her friend, and would became her lover.

====Solid Life====
Sci grew steady as she were being part of Mikona more and more. She saw many of the changes happening before her eye, and that was good. even though she was always traveling from one place to another, having a place where she were part of was good. After a long time, under the guidance of Robert, she would join the ashen Order to find out more about herself. At the same time, her friendship with Char would grow beyond friendiship.

She then kept her life going in the best way she could ... being happy ... until at some point, she had to decide beteween following her heart and the order. She decided to help Char by going into a place that the ashen order wouldn't aprove. She did what her heart felt was the best thing to do, and succeded in it.

She left the gnome's cave unharmed and along with Char, and knowing that she was going on the other direction of what the Ashen would ever want ... that's when she decided that she had to leave the order and find some order that would fit her line of tought ... her will of freedom

Again, helped by Robert, she decided to start looking for the Red, and so she started this new path

Sci kept her life going as she would enjoy every day and so. Besides her friends in the FFG and in mikona, she had also made friends in the Keepers. As those friends would take her to some trips, she would be dragged into the keepers every day more and more. After sometime, she decided to join the keepers ... what would make her to be under the command of her loving one

Still, she was after joining other big group ... the Red Order. After some talking with some Red mages, she was invited for a talking with the Senior mage of Elysia, [[PCs:Vexus|Vexus]]. After some talking, she was invited within the order, being finally a mage of the red order ... the end of a path started long time ago with by unleashing her powers, and the beggining of new tales for her.

Now, Sci could look behind and see all that kept her far from the little girl she was ... and look forward for the numb clouds in her path of a child into the chaotic flood of life.

====The Begining of All====
<div align="justify">
Born somewhere between M'Chek and Deglos in a group of itinerant merchants, Scientia (as her parents used to call her) always traveled through avlis in a wagon but was always kept in minor isolation, in a way that she never knew much about the outside world. It was in a sad day that all was about to change. The caravan was attacked by a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugbear_(Dungeons_&_Dragons) BugBear] Tribe, and all those able to fight back started doing so. Her father Hericus, a former soldier, was in the fight along with her mother Ciara, a former healer.

Scientia watched the whole fight and was able to see how cruel things can be and how one can fight heroically when they are to deffend the ones they care about. She saw both, Father and mother fighting side by side and not giving up until that both were done ... both died at the same time as one of the last standing bugbear stroke the fatal blow.

The battle custed both sides a lot of lives, but the BugBears were winners that day. They turned their eyes to the caravan where the spoils were, along with Scientia and her older brother Petrus.
Scientia still can't remember very well if it was the fear or the rage but both, she and her brother, casted spells releasing a great power that took down the killer bugbears and bliinded the rest of them, leaving the way clear for them to run away into the arid landscapes of M'Chek.

====New Life====

After having wandered for some time, Scientia and her brother found and old ranger in the woods of [[T'Nanshi]]. In fact, he found them as he went for his ordinary patrols and found them both almost dead. Scientia had fainted after the long time in the woods, and her brother was carring her tring to find some place safe.

The old Marcus offered them shelter and healing for the wounds as some of his knowledge of the ways of a ranger. They stayed with the old ranger learning from him as Petrus focused on the combat knowledge that was tought, as Scientia learned the ways of a healer and created with the old Marcus a bound.

Not a long time passad before Petrus decided to leave the two of them as he seeked for revange. He left his sister in the cares of Marcus during the night to return upon having his revange ... somehow. A long time passed since that day, and even though Scientia missed her brother, her bound to Marcus would grow day after day. In those times she learned a lot about her self being and about her nature.

They kept this life going until the day that Marcus died. After that moment, things started only to get worst. Her brother returned after his adventures ... he was changed. His mind was twisted in a way that the old values were worth nothing now. He claimed that she wasn't worth or deserving of anything she had in life until one day after, a major argumentation, he attacked her. As she felt her life being drained, she felt an mist of rage, fear and sadness ... that was no longer her brother ... and after some time ... no longer alive.

By the second time she had blood on her hands, and for the first time she was really alone. She knew what she had to do ... she buried the body of her brother, as the last thing in name of the old memories, and left to the south until she finally reached the gates of Mikona where she would start her new life

====First Steps====
As Scientia left the north seeking shelter in the southern lands, she found the gates of mikona waiting for her. It was a rainy day and she didn't have much but, somehow, she knew she would make it. After looking around the city for some time, she went near the bored gargolye inn where she met one to be called friend and in love in the future. Char was going for some adventuring and took Scientia along. As this girl, now known as Sci, was getting closer and adventuring with him, she was introduced to some of his friends. Among these friends was the [[Guild:FFG|FFG]] leader, Robert Wallace, who would guide her through the path of a sorcerer.

====New Learnings====
After some time in town, she would soon learn that just as she had her enemies and hate were to spread in the past, so was it to happen yet again in mikona. The life and world would reveal it's face as a big group of [[Elf,Sereg|Seregs]] started attaking and killing all that would be in their way. The city decided to have a retaliation attack. That was the first big adventure she had, where she met many others of the adventurers of these lands. Among those adventurers, there was a lovelly bard by the name of [[PCs:Raen|Raen]].

After listening to miss Raen, Sci decided that she could learn how to do that ... she had it within. She started praticing until the day she felt she was ready to meet Raen again. This new friend guided her through this new bright path, inviting sci to perform at Mikona's Finest Playhouse and the [[MMM]], where she would met new friends like [[PCs:Elong Singalong|Elong]].

At the first MMM, Sci performed a [[Char'Jer's Song|song]] for the one that, at that time, was her friend, and would became her lover.

====Solid Life====
Sci grew steady as she were being part of Mikona more and more. She saw many of the changes happening before her eye, and that was good. even though she was always traveling from one place to another, having a place where she were part of was good. After a long time, under the guidance of Robert, she would join the ashen Order to find out more about herself. At the same time, her friendship with Char would grow beyond friendiship.

She then kept her life going in the best way she could ... being happy ... until at some point, she had to decide beteween following her heart and the order. She decided to help Char by going into a place that the ashen order wouldn't aprove. She did what her heart felt was the best thing to do, and succeded in it.

She left the gnome's cave unharmed and along with Char, and knowing that she was going on the other direction of what the Ashen would ever want ... that's when she decided that she had to leave the order and find some order that would fit her line of tought ... her will of freedom

Again, helped by Robert, she decided to start looking for the Red, and so she started this new path

Sci kept her life going as she would enjoy every day and so. Besides her friends in the FFG and in mikona, she had also made friends in the Keepers. As those friends would take her to some trips, she would be dragged into the keepers every day more and more. After sometime, she decided to join the keepers ... what would make her to be under the command of her loving one

Still, she was after joining other big group ... the Red Order. After some talking with some Red mages, she was invited for a talking with the Senior mage of Elysia, [[PCs:Vexus|Vexus]]. After some talking, she was invited within the order, being finally a mage of the red order ... the end of a path started long time ago with by unleashing her powers, and the beggining of new tales for her.

Now, Sci could look behind and see all that kept her far from the little girl she was ... and look forward for the numb clouds in her path of a child into the chaotic flood of life.

Vexus is a handsome fey like male, standing around 5'9". His build is slender and his movements flow as if dancing to the tune of imaginary music. His hair is bright red, dyed using the pigments he once used while learning the art of Tailoring. His clothes are an outward expression of his soul and as such are bright and flamboyant. His body is covered in elaborate red and orange tattooe's, gained after one too many nights spent drinking and socialising in excess on the streets of Elysia. Recently he may be seen wearing white paint on his face with two deep red circles surrounding his eyes, and several new facial piercings.

Born 'Altium Malcovin' in the Fief of Medec, his youth was spent rebelling against his Merchant Father's Academic regime. Countless days spent in libraries and academies across Kurathene left him empty and hollow. Once reaching his 18th Birthday he turned his back on his father and travelled south in search of emotion, to build the imagination he would need to fully realise the gift of the Arcane that had been granted to him.

One day, nearly a year past he attempted to open a portal to the plane of Ysgard, to search for the Lord of Magic, Andrinor. His methods were however flawed and instead of opening a portal to Ysgard he instead found himself thrown around the planes, never staying in one realm long enough to attempt a reversal of the ritual. After what seemed like an age he finally ended up in the city of Nutz, within Deglos.

The recent failure of his ritual and the proceeding ordeal has left his mind fragmented. Moments of insanity disperse his lucid thoughts and those who speak to him will find that sometimes he makes no sense at all. His memory has also been affected, places, names, situations; they have all been cracked and broken, seeping into eachother like pools of water, flooded but now receeding. For the most part he is polite but easily angered if confused (which happens quite often).

As his mother was a full blooded Nymph he displays certain characteristics of the Fey. Strong relationships and marriage mean nothing to him, he cares little for gold or hardwork and only claims a handful of possessions as his own.

He hates clothes but finds them a necessery evil, and so tries his best to wear the most stylish (in his mind) outfits he can find.

Well, i was planning on keeping this page as the whole song list and the template as latest songs. The template itself would link for this page.

I intented to do this way so i can keep the template not as big as this page might get

There is also the fact that i can't get the template into the [http://avlis.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Songs Song Category] without messing with each song page (all songs will be treated as if they had the name sci's song when trying to sort them)

well, if it would be better, then i guess i can keep the template as one single song list

Born somewhere between M'Chek and Deglos in a group of itinerant merchants, Scientia (as her parents used to call her) always traveled through avlis in a wagon but was always kept in minor isolation, in a way that she never knew much about the outside world. It was in a sad day that all was about to change. The caravan was attacked by a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugbear_(Dungeons_&_Dragons) BugBear] Tribe, and all those able to fight back started doing so. Her father Hericus, a former soldier, was in the fight along with her mother Ciara, a former healer.

Scientia watched the whole fight and was able to see how cruel things can be and how one can fight heroically when they are to deffend the ones they care about. She saw both, Father and mother fighting side by side and not giving up until that both were done ... both died at the same time as one of the last standing bugbear stroke the fatal blow.

The battle custed both sides a lot of lives, but the BugBears were winners that day. They turned their eyes to the caravan where the spoils were, along with Scientia and her older brother Petrus.
Scientia still can't remember very well if it was the fear or the rage but both, she and her brother, casted spells releasing a great power that took down the killer bugbears and bliinded the rest of them, leaving the way clear for them to run away into the arid landscapes of M'Chek.

After having wandered for some time, Scientia and her brother found and old ranger in the woods of [[T'Nanshi]]. In fact, he found them as he went for his ordinary patrols and found them both almost dead. Scientia had fainted after the long time in the woods, and her brother was carring her tring to find some place safe.

The old Marcus offered them shelter and healing for the wounds as some of his knowledge of the ways of a ranger. They stayed with the old ranger learning from him as Petrus focused on the combat knowledge that was tought, as Scientia learned the ways of a healer and created with the old Marcus a bound.

Not a long time passad before Petrus decided to leave the two of them as he seeked for revange. He left his sister in the cares of Marcus during the night to return upon having his revange ... somehow. A long time passed since that day, and even though Scientia missed her brother, her bound to Marcus would grow day after day. In those times she learned a lot about her self being and about her nature.

They kept this life going until the day that Marcus died. After that moment, things started only to get worst. Her brother returned after his adventures ... he was changed. His mind was twisted in a way that the old values were worth nothing now. He claimed that she wasn't worth or deserving of anything she had in life until one day after, a major argumentation, he attacked her. As she felt her life being drained, she felt an mist of rage, fear and sadness ... that was no longer her brother ... and after some time ... no longer alive.

By the second time she had blood on her hands, and for the first time she was really alone. She knew what she had to do ... she buried the body of her brother, as the last thing in name of the old memories, and left to the south until she finally reached the gates of Mikona where she would start her new life

====First Steps====
As Scientia left the north seeking shelter in the southern lands, she found the gates of mikona waiting for her. It was a rainy day and she didn't have much but, somehow, she knew she would make it. After looking around the city for some time, she went near the bored gargolye inn where she met one to be called friend and in love in the future. Char was going for some adventuring and took Scientia along. As this girl, now known as Sci, was getting closer and adventuring with him, she was introduced to some of his friends. Among these friends was the [[Guild:FFG|FFG]] leader, Robert Wallace, who would guide her through the path of a sorcerer.

====New Learnings====
After some time in town, she would soon learn that just as she had her enemies and hate were to spread in the past, so was it to happen yet again in mikona. The life and world would reveal it's face as a big group of [[Elf,Sereg|Seregs]] started attaking and killing all that would be in their way. The city decided to have a retaliation attack. That was the first big adventure she had, where she met many others of the adventurers of these lands. Among those adventurers, there was a lovelly bard by the name of [[PCs:Raen|Raen]].

After listening to miss Raen, Sci decided that she could learn how to do that ... she had it within. She started praticing until the day she felt she was ready to meet Raen again. This new friend guided her through this new bright path, inviting sci to perform at Mikona's Finest Playhouse and the [[MMM]], where she would met new friends like [[PCs:Elong Singalong|Elong]].

At the first MMM, Sci performed a [[Char'Jer's Song|song]] for the one that, at that time, was her friend, and would became her lover.

Founded by [[PCs:Robert Wallace|Robert Wallace]] as he could see it in the bottom of a glass of ale, this group has been crossing the lands and finding no bounds in the research for knowledge of nature and the environment surrounding them.

This group has traveled through the lands from the shores of [[M'Chek]] to the Dark caves of [[Deglos]] and it's amazing fauna and flora so strange to the underlight riders.

Our objective is to learn more about the wild life of avlis and to have a good time among friends while doing it therefore, everyone wishing for this good time is welcome to join.

====Brooch Holders====
Those who carry a FFG Brooch are the ones more experienced in the FFG's trips. The role of an expedition leader is to take the group to new and exotic places where the wild life lays untouched by civilization, having all the maps and plans making sure all have a plesant trip.

====Expedition Assistant====
An essential arm of the expedition leader, is resposible for linking the leader to the group, keeping an eye for the safety of the group as for the leader. Patience a virtue.

====Chief Scout====
Holds an key role as he is the one responsible blending with the shadows and feeling the environment in search for any hazard that would put the expedition in danger.

====Healer====
Responsible for keeping the group alive as bruises and scratches can happen in a trip among the wild fauna and flora of avlis.

====Student====
The main core of the group. All kind of students are welcome, from the ones with expertize on the undead and arcane to the ones taking note of everything for record and further study.

A long time passed since that day, and even though Scientia missed her brother, her bound to Marcus would grow day after day. In those times she learned a lot about her self being and about her nature.

They kept this life going until the day that Marcus died. After that moment, things started only to get worst. Her brother returned after his adventures ... he was changed. His mind was twisted in a way that the old values were worth nothing now. He claimed that she wasn't worth or deserving of anything she had in life until one day after, a major argumentation, he attacked her. As she felt her life being drained, she felt an mist of rage, fear and sadness ... that was no longer her brother ... and after some time ... no longer alive.

By the second time she had blood on her hands, and for the first time she was really alone. She knew what she had to do ... she buried the body of her brother, as the last thing in name of the old memories, and left to the south until she finally reached the gates of [[Mikona]] where she would start her new life

====First Steps====
As Scientia left the north seeking shelter in the southern lands, she found the gates of mikona waiting for her. It was a rainy day and she didn't have much but, somehow, she knew she would make it. After looking around the city for some time, she went near the bored gargolye inn where she met one to be called friend and in love in the future. [[PCs:Char'Jer|Char]] was going for some adventuring and took Scientia along. As this girl, now known as Sci, was getting closer and adventuring with him, she was introduced to some of his friends. Between these friends was the [[Guild:FFG|FFG]] leader, [[PCs:Robert Wallace|Robert Wallace]], who would guide her through the path of a [[sorcerer]].

====The Begining of all====

Born somewhere between [[M'Chek]] and [[Deglos]] in a group of itinerant merchants, Scientia (as her parents used to call her) always traveled through avlis in a wagon but was always kept in minor isolation, in a way that she never knew much about the outside world. It was in a sad day that all was about to change. The caravan was attacked by a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugbear_(Dungeons_&_Dragons) BugBear] Tribe, and all those able to fight back started doing so. Her father Hericus, a former soldier, was in the fight along with her mother Ciara, a former healer.

Scientia watched the whole fight and was able to see how cruel things can be and how one can fight heroically when they are to deffend the ones they care about. She saw both, Father and mother fighting side by side and not giving up until that both were done ... both died at the same time as one of the last standing [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugbear_(Dungeons_&_Dragons) bugbear] stroke the fatal blow.

The battle custed both sides a lot of lives, but the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugbear_(Dungeons_&_Dragons) BugBears] were winners that day. They turned their eyes to the caravan where the spoils were, along with Scientia and her older brother Petrus.
Scientia still can't remember very well if it was the fear or the rage but both, she and her brother, casted spells releasing a great power that took down the killer [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugbear_(Dungeons_&_Dragons) bugbears] and bliinded the rest of them, leaving the way clear for them to run away into the arid landscapes of [[M'Chek]].

====New Life====

After having wandered for some time, Scientia and her brother found and old ranger in the woods of [[T'Nanshi]]. In fact, he found them as he went for his ordinary patrols and found them both almost dead. Scientia had fainted after the long time in the woods, and her brother was carring her tring to find some place safe.

The old Marcus offered them shelter and healing for the wounds as some of his knowledge of the ways of a ranger. They stayed with the old ranger learning from him as Petrus focused on the combat knowledge that was tought, as Scientia learned the ways of a healer and created with the old Marcus a bound.

Not a long time passad before Petrus decided to leave the two of them as he seeked for revange. He left his sister in the cares of Marcus during the night to return upon having his revange ... somehow. == General Information ==
The City of [[Mikona]] is the capital and largest city in the human nation of [[M'Chek]]. The predominant race in the city is [[Human|human]] and it is thus named after the god [[Mikon]], who with the help and advice of the god [[Ptah]] created the human race on Avlis. The city is located on the southernmost coast of M'Chek, and has therefore a hot climate. [http://www.avlis.org/viewtopic.php?t=69370 The law] in the city is enforced by the [[Mikona City Guard]], with assistance from the elite unit: [[Guild:_The_M'Chekian_Guards|The M'Chekian Guards]].

== Mikona Districts ==
The City of Mikona is divided into six major districts. They are: The garrison/gate district, the temple grounds, the market, the noble district, the residential area, and the docks district. Each of these districts interrelates with all the others in some way. Additionally, there is a long-abandoned underground area which is undergoing resettlement.

=== Garrison/Gate District ===
This district holds the only public way in or out of the city without coming in by ship. Thus, it acts as a flow control for traffic to any other part of the city. A sign at the entrance directs people with various business to the correct place. It is in front of the gates, in a large rock near the road, that several adventures can be seen gathering for a little chat or getting ready for another crazy adventure.

=== The Temple Grounds ===
All business within and between churches takes place here. The Temple Grounds has about five major temples in it. The most influential of these five are the temples of Mikon (the largest), [[Dagath]], and [[Valok]]. Near these temples are shrines to a large number of other gods worshipped in the area. Usually these shrines have only one or two clerics tending to them. All gods and religions are accepted in Mikona, so the range of deities found there goes from [[Gorethar]], the goodly god of the [[Dwarf|dwarves]], to [[Maleki]], the evil malevolent god of giant-kin and murder.

=== Government District ===
The center of government for the city and the entire nation rests here. It holds the two major meeting halls for both houses of government, and the joint session meeting hall, which also acts as the executive base. Some of the traffic to this place comes from the Temple Grounds to the east, where the clerical representatives in government go back and forth to solicit their cases and agendas.

The majority of the temples do not play a very active role in the government. They simply vote their conscience when needed. However, the Temple of Valok seems to take a keen interest in city and national affairs. This religion has taken off in the city sometime within the last hundred years. Its charismatic leaders instill a lot of self-confidence in the common public, as well as the rich and powerful. Its precepts of maximizing your individual potential through any lawful means, and some non-lawful means, really appeal to many in the government arena.

=== The Residential Area ===
This is where many of the Common folk of Mikona live. Housing conditions are poor, and the crowding has incited a lot of gang activity in the area. Many residents are too afraid to go out even in the daytime, and often times the City Guards them selves neglect to walk their rounds there. Common folk refer to these areas as the Slums, because that's what they are. The Common House is continually concerned about this area, but until there are some serious territorial gains made in the war against the elves, there is not much they can do about it.

=== The Market ===
This is the center of commerce in the city. It is located almost midway between the entrance of the city and the docks for easy access. Merchants of all kinds peddle their wares here. Both Nobles and Commoners can be found shopping, for this is one of the only places where the two castes will be seen in the same place.

=== The Noble District ===
This is where the major nobles of the city and nation keep their homes. Some of them also have keeps outside the city as well. All in all there is not much activity here in the daytime, although lucky rogues sometimes press their luck in these areas at night.

=== The Docks ===
This is the secondary area of commerce for the city. Most of the merchants live here and collect their wares here to sell. Emigrants who leave for other areas of the continent depart from here as well.

=== The Dwarven Quarters ===
Long ago, these tunnels under the city were home to dwarves who helped build Mikona. After a conflict centuries ago, they were abandoned. Mikona's government is preparing the quarters for new settlement, with the help of the Church of Gorethar.

== Government in Mikona ==
The goverment in Mikona is a noble democracy, there are two houses of government in the city: The Noble House and the Common House. The two houses of government are presided over by a Minister who executes decisions and carries out the task of administration, although they are limited in their actions by the legislators. In addition to the Minister there is a War Commissioner who is the commander and chief of the standing army. This is a hotly contested position that has been filled by either Nobles or reputable warrior generals.
