	I got interested in Avlis when I was wrapping up my Computer Science undergrad degree in late 2005. I wanted some hands-on experience on a team programming project. I'd been impressed with NWNX2 when building a mock up for a PW idea ''(based on Fritz Leiber's Lankhmar books)'', so Avlis seemed like a good place to volunteer.

	~~Before getting a reply to~~ my ~~subcontractor app~~, ~~I rolled a character~~ and ~~started playing. I saw how big Avlis was~~, and ~~decided~~ to ~~enjoy it for a while before following up. Now I just keep putting it off...~~ but ~~at least I~~'~~m helping with~~ the ~~wiki.~~		*Started PnP D&D in 1981... showin' my age
			*Played in one of [[Wikipedia:Leomund\|Len Lakofka's]] campaigns
			*Computer RPG's from [[Wikipedia:Wizardry\|Wizardry]], [[Wikipedia:Zork\|Zork]] and [[Wikipedia:Bard's Tale (1985)\|Bard's Tale]], through NWN, [[Wikipedia:Star Wars Galaxies\|SWG]] and [[Wikipedia:World of Warcraft\|WoW]]
