The Nine Lords of The Wastelands


Tzeentzch. He is the Architect. He alters humanoids and splices beings both spiritual and physical forms into a single constructed being. He is attempting to create a “perfect being” which will worship him as god and creator. 


Malafoge. She wanders the wastes in her lonely beauty. Nature rampant. She sees the land and it breaks her heart. She instills her despair and rage in every plant she sees, but she dare not travel too far or she may die of her own despair. 


The Forgemaster. He sits in his forge and surrounds himself with machines. He trusts nobody and nothing unless he created them himself. He works and he waits. His forge burns night and day and he has his minions digging in the ground for more of the precious minerals needed. He sits in his own body and repairs it. One day the colossus will be whole. On that day, the world will tremble for the machine god will be reborn. 


The Brittle Born. they who are one. They who are none. These are the Ravagers. They are a hive mind and the hive is hungry. The Empress rules all the wasteland from the center of it all and telepathically communicates with her brood. 


The King of the Fire. He seeks heat, and banishes cold. He shall slay the Green and FIRE shall rule the wasteland. Shape changer and life taker. Bringer of warmth on the coldest nights. He takes on many forms, and in return is formless like fire. 

The Green lord. Seeker of flame, life giver, and reaper of souls. The souls of the wasteland are his to devour. He feeds on them and they help him attain greater and greater power. Now he is weak. He is tired. He has not eaten in such a long time. 


The Unascended. He who writhes against his bonds. None have seen him and lived to tell the tale. 


The Black. Seek her and despair. The Black is Frenishalas Tenishalan. She was an elf long ago, but she died while adventuring in the wasteland and was trapped here. Now she jumps from elf to elf and seeks a way into the shining lands of her ancestors.


The Golden. Enlightened and aware, but only of himself. The Golden is an Extra-Planar that has been trapped in the Wasteland since the Cataclysm. Some say that the reason for the Cataclysm was the Golden falling from grace. Dru’el has turned his face away from the shining avenger of the east. Behold the corrupted. Behold the madness.
