Description

The reckless Romin herself, in all her buxom glory, is a sight to behold. With her hourglass figure and her notable, some might even say famous, ever-present, and unforgettable bustline, she commands attention wherever she goes. Regardless of her attire, there is always a small blade within reach to deal with troublemakers and gawkers; she is Romini, after all. Her holy amulet isn't visible, as the necklace vanishes from view at her cleavage and into the depths. Though she now speaks in a mix of Romini, Common, and Jechrain-ease, one thing has changed, and one thing hasn't: she learned about style, but her aim still sucks. You figure out which.

Most notable are the tattoos adorning her body. They are mostly nautical, ranging from a mermaid's tail that stretches from her right shoulder to her right wrist, to an anchor above a giant sea turtle on her right hand. Along her left hand is a series of stars. There are rumors of more tattoos that remain unseen in public, adding to her mystique.

In her hair, she wears an ornate, bejeweled, and possibly very old hairpin adorned with apple blossoms and golden wheat stalks, completing her distinctive look. This hairpin is not just an accessory but a symbol of her heritage and the stories she carries with her.

Her presence is both captivating and intimidating. She moves with a confidence that comes from years of navigating the complexities of her world. Her eyes, sharp and observant, miss nothing, and her smile, though rare, can be both enchanting and dangerous. She is a force to be reckoned with, a woman who has carved out her own path and defies anyone who tries to stand in her way.

Despite her rough exterior, there is a depth to her that few get to see. She carries the weight of her past with her, the lessons learned and the scars earned. Her loyalty to those she cares about is unwavering, and she will go to great lengths to protect them. She is a survivor, a warrior, and a beacon of strength in a world that often seeks to diminish her.

Early Life

The waters swelled, bubbles crashed into me, and my memories flooded my mind. Not little by little, but all at once, as if I had jumped into the baths and submerged myself completely. Overwhelming shock took over as memories surfaced, knowledge was gained, and the truth was revealed. Slowly, it all began to make sense.

I was Dela Jarrom, and on my 14th naming day, I was to be wed to a young man from the Pugh family, a tribe around Malekia, to unite our two families. As the day approached, we departed in our wagons from Andarr, following the Blackwater to Crosstreams. I had never met this boy, nor did I wish to. To say I was upset would be an understatement—akin to the old saying: without wood, the fire would die. I had cords of wood within me, fueling my anger.

Grandmother's constant denunciations of the Pughs as goat lovers, liars, and betrayers to our ways didn't help. Every waking second of my life was filled with her complaints. After days and days of threats to tie me up in the wagon, I began to formulate a plan. Soon, the Blackwater Fen would be under our wheels. We often stayed there, and I had made friends in the Fen. That's where I would make my move, and Rosella could marry the Pugh for all I cared. All she talked about for ten months straight was how she was old enough and who her suitor would be, not to mention bragging about the price.

As we journeyed towards the Blackwater Fen, my mind raced with plans and possibilities. The thought of escaping the unwanted marriage gave me a sense of hope and determination. I knew the Fen well, and I had allies there who could help me. My heart pounded with both fear and excitement as the day drew nearer.

The closer we got to the Fen, the more resolute I became. I couldn't allow myself to be forced into a life I didn't want, especially with someone I had never met. My grandmother's incessant criticisms only fueled my desire to break free from the expectations placed upon me.

Finally, the day arrived when we entered the Blackwater Fen. The familiar sights and sounds of the Fen filled me with a sense of relief and anticipation. I knew this was my chance. With the help of my friends, I could escape and forge my own path. I could be free from the constraints of tradition and expectation.

As I looked around the Fen, I felt a surge of determination. This was my moment to seize control of my destiny. I would not be wed to the Pugh boy. I would not be a pawn in my family's plans. I would carve out my own future, no matter the cost.

On the second night of our journey through the Blackwater Fen, the order was shouted to keep going and push through the night. Rains were expected the next day, and if the marshes flooded into the forest, travel would become nearly impossible. I realized that if it did flood, my tracks would be covered up, making my escape less noticeable. The night wasn't moonless, but clouds began to roll in, covering the silvery glow of the moon. Soon there would be a narrow turn, and I could jump from the wagon without the one behind us seeing me. With the grace of a rock smashing into water, I jumped and rolled into a ditch, caked in dirt until everyone rolled past.

I ran back to the spot where we would have stayed and then to a small village. That's where I knew Jenkins from—not his real name by any means, but that's what I'd called him since I met him five summers ago. I was swimming in the river, and he chased the boys off. From that moment, whenever we camped there, he would come with the others to greet and trade, but he came to see me. We spent time together, sharing our thoughts and dreams, and we wanted to explore the world together. Jenkins hid me that night, knowing the rains would come and buy us time. The next morning, as the sky was gray with storms, we slipped out of the village into the marshes on a little raft he had, making our way to the Blackwater.

On the Blackwater, we had to pass through Crosstreams, which was problematic since my tribe was passing through there too. We started hopping barges, offering to labor on any that were going through Crosstreams without stopping. We found one barge that was heading to the Divalok River and then up to Stalwart on the Dentry. Jenkins worked as a spotter, and I helped with the cooking to pay our way. We encountered a little trouble near the docks and ended up swimming out to a passing boat named "The Plump Fey," which was headed to Stalwart. They agreed to take us on. What a sight we were—a waterlogged Romini runaway and a wet satyr who could barely tread water.

The ship was a trading vessel that ferried goods from the RiverFolk up the Dentry from Crosstreams to Stalwart. Jenkins assisted with the cargo, and I was given the task of helping the ship's mistress—not that kind of mistress, but the owner. She was making the journey to visit family. Jenkins learned the ways of ship life and its expectations, while Miss Redglide, the ship's owner, explained the nature of life to me. She was a devoted follower of Yeraiah and often spoke of inner strength, not by acting like a man but by using my mind and ways to be a free and independent woman.

When we reached Stalwart, we departed the ship and were immediately greeted by a man with a book and quill who asked for our names. Jenkins, speaking rather rashly, said, "I am Jenkins, loyal servant to Miss Esme' Grey," as he motioned to me. The man wrote our names down and even welcomed Miss Redglide back to Stalwart. Later, she paid us for our work and bought me two dresses and two corsets. I was already more developed than most adults and couldn't even see how she laced me shut, so she taught Jenkins the skills. Then, we parted ways as she went to meet her family.

We sailed on many ships and performed many jobs, all the while learning the art of sailing, the ways of the salt, and its secrets. It was on the Grace of Andarr that I began to pay more attention to the navigator and his assistants. Although he already had two students, I kept watching and studying what they were doing. My attention to detail impressed the captain so much that he started teaching me. By the time my contract reached its term, he presented me with letters stating that I was an able-bodied 3rd class Navigator and a letter of recommendation for any sailing college or officer school if I chose to pursue further education.

However, it wasn't until my days on the Roseriver that I learned the harsh realities of life at sea. The Roseriver was not open seas and good wind; it was where I picked up too many bad habits. Pride, drink, and carnal knowledge replaced all that Miss Redglide had taught me. I racked up conquests like other sailors when they hit port, and I had a system: one week at sea meant one lover bought and paid for. Sometimes I even sold myself to keep the party going. Those were dark days indeed. I think we left the Roseriver because the captain got a little too interested in me, or at least that's what Jenkins tells me—I don't remember it clearly.

From there, I took my letters and logbook to the Navigational College of Dormiria, where I was accepted as a 3rd class Navigator. I attended classes, studied diligently, and passed my 2nd and 1st class tests. My work history as a 3rd class Navigator fulfilled the requirements for 2nd and 1st class ranks. Then I found myself left in port from The Dancing Crane somewhere in Torran Shada. It was too much fun, as I recall it now, because The Dancing Crane was a good ship to serve on. It was then that I joined the Sailmaker's Guild and sewed sails in various sail lofts to support us while we looked for a new ship to work on.

I think we caught passage to Andarr on some rat-infested ship that didn't even have her name on her and got home. We checked in at the Merchant Sailor's Hall for a ship to crew on, but there was a wait, and I was at the bottom of the list with a red mark by my name. It was more of the same until Jenkins came looking for me. He finally found me in the backroom of some brothel in a bed with more bodies than it was meant to hold. He shouted and screamed that the ship was leaving and I had a job. Jenkins dressed me while angrily shouting that this wasn't me—that I wasn't supposed to be like this—and told everyone to leave. He rushed me to the docks and up the plank, but I sent him back to the brothel to retrieve my hairpins because I never left port without them. As he vanished into the crowded pier, I motioned for the gangplank to be raised, and the Captain ordered the ship to sea. He asked if I was ready to put my merchant ship knowledge to profitable use.

Then a storm came, and the ship sank with all hands lost...

We had each been fished out of the water over a period of time by Captain Pink of the Baskerville and brought to Mikona. None of us had memories of how we ended up in the salt, and we were bewildered by our circumstances. Captain Pink had dressed us, we learned, and each of us was found with a coral ring on our fingers. What followed was the adventure of a lifetime, the kind of tale that even a bard or an entire Academy of Bards couldn't make up. We encountered a snaggletoothed woman, a Fairy Overlord, Captain Seethrough, Pink, Highfeather, the Monkey, and so many others. We stooped and fetched for them, earning their help in our quest.

Through all that, in one perfect moment, as I stood on a beach looking out at the salt, everything hit me, and I remembered everything.

I'm not sure if they all made it in the end. I know I almost didn't. Tannar, Geoff, Punchy, and Bette did. But there were no signs of Zily, Mol, Ted, Tabby, Manchild, or SeaSick at the clubhouse. I fear they are gone, washed away by the chaos, or maybe they just decided to start new lives. I'll pray that whichever path they found themselves on, they are happy at least.

For me, I wandered into the chapel of Yeraiah and was greeted as Emse' Grey. I was welcomed warmly, as I was expected some time ago. I explained all that had occurred, and to my relief, I was believed. The Mother of All works in strange and mysterious ways. I dropped to my knees and thanked her, feeling truly loved. I've never cried as much or as hard as I did at that moment. Then, I found a card that had been given to me days ago. It read "Mr. Jenkins - Loyal Manservant" with a note on the back stating "Romini camp, outside the city gates."

The others are off, remembering and picking up where they left off. I told Bette to find me if she ever needed help. We were the last two on the beach. Now, I am sitting on the back of a wagon, listening to Jenkins ramble on about his search for me as I write. He keeps bringing up plans for future voyages upon the sea, mentioning strange lands I've even heard rumors of, such as Khanjar Kuro. Part of me wants to go, and part of me wants to buy a wagon and travel where I can't drown... again.

The journey ahead is uncertain, but I am ready to face it with Jenkins by my side. Whether we venture to new lands or travel safely on land, I know that we will face whatever comes our way together.

Jechran

The Silver Star was charted for Jechran, and it sailed there without the slightest problem. Upon its arrival and for several years afterward, Dela stayed in an abbey of Mortal of her Grace, which is dedicated to Yeraiah. The abbey was about a day's walk southeast from Myleah and within sight of the ocean. There, Dela gained control of herself and developed an understanding of who she truly was.

At the abbey, Dela studied and learned firsthand the duties and tasks of a midwife. Over time, she became one of the teachers to the younger sisters, sharing her knowledge and expertise in midwifery. She became part of a group of midwives from the abbey who traveled the lands of Jechran, speaking on matters ranging from fertility to the birthing process. The midwives worked in pairs, and Dela was paired with Sister Milisarda, a local Half-Elf who discovered her calling around the same time Dela arrived at the abbey.

Every spring and fall, the tandem would head out, traveling their routes across Jechran, visiting all the tribes, and checking in on matters that would require their aid when the time came. Dela and Milisarda's route took them along the coastline of Jechran from the abbey and then along the border with the Wastelands.

As they traveled, Dela and Milisarda provided crucial support and guidance to the women they encountered. They offered practical advice on fertility, childbirth, and postnatal care, ensuring that each community had the knowledge and resources needed to care for their mothers and children. Their visits were often met with gratitude and relief, as they brought not only medical expertise but also comfort and reassurance.

In addition to their midwifery duties, Dela and Milisarda forged strong bonds with the communities they served. They listened to the stories and struggles of the women they met, offering a compassionate ear and words of encouragement. Through their work, they fostered a sense of unity and support among the tribes, helping to strengthen the bonds between them.

Dela's time at the abbey and her travels with Milisarda allowed her to grow both personally and professionally. She developed a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment in her role as a midwife and teacher. The experiences she gained and the relationships she built shaped her into a confident and capable woman, dedicated to the well-being of others.

Throughout her journey, Dela remained committed to the teachings of Yeraiah and the principles of compassion, wisdom, and strength. Her faith and determination guided her in all she did, and she became a respected and beloved figure in the communities she served.

When demons attacked Dre'Ana's High Temple, Dela took it upon herself to teach her sisters at the abbey combat magic to the best of her ability. Though she wasn't very confident in this form of magic, and the stories from the Club of Damned attested to her struggles, she was determined to help. To her own surprise, she didn't wound or kill a single sister during her lessons. While the combat magic was never needed to defend the abbey or her sisters, Dela found joy in teaching and helping others.

As her time at the abbey lengthened, she was offered and accepted the role of assistant to Mother Gabliania, earning the rank of Precentor. In this role, she would lead prayers and prepare all rituals. With this new responsibility came the expectation that Dela would also clean up her appearance. She abandoned her wild hair colors and untidy hair, learning to maintain her appearance and make herself presentable in various situations. To preserve her Romini heritage, she dusted her hair with pink powder as a reminder to all (and herself) that she was Romini.

Dela became increasingly concerned when she noticed that the birthrate in the south was at zero for an entire month. Rumors spread, and soon they heard from the south that Dagath had died. Babies began to be born left and right. Later, when they heard of his return, it is rumored that Dela exclaimed "No shit" to the messenger, slinging a towel covered in blood and afterbirth at him. It was then that she started considering a life change and heading south.

She knew that Bette was trying to get color-coded by the Mage Trust to learn more. Dela began to think that perhaps she should do the same, to better herself in the ways of Yeraiah, even if it meant postponing her training as a priestess. One day, while staying in Myleah, waiting for the corsetmaker to finish creating a new reinforced corset for her impressive bust and hourglass form, she made up her mind. She informed the abbey that she would depart south in the coming days with their blessings.

The blessings were given, and Mother Gabliania even made travel arrangements for her student and friend. Dela carried letters of her service and letters for Samantha at the Mikona Temple, which she did not allow Mister Jenkins to carry. For only the second time in her life, Dela was a passenger on a sailing ship and not part of the crew.

As she sailed south, Dela felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. She was leaving behind the familiarity of the abbey and embarking on a new journey. The ship's gentle sway and the salt air reminded her of her past adventures, but this time, her purpose was different. She was determined to deepen her understanding of Yeraiah's teachings and enhance her skills to better serve those in need.

The journey south was a time of reflection and anticipation. Dela thought about the sisters she had left behind, the lessons she had learned, and the new experiences that awaited her. She felt a strong sense of purpose and a renewed commitment to her faith. As the ship approached its destination, she prepared herself for the next chapter of her life, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.

It all started out like any other day at the temple, but this day, Dela had a different assignment. She was to travel to a keep in Northern M'Chek to meet some people and set out with them. That was all she knew, as they would explain their journey once she departed with them. Upon meeting these people, she realized that she had met crews of drunken sailors who were more sober and clear-minded than this group. However, her Cousin Fabello was with them, and he assured her that they were more than they appeared to be. Considering she had survived the Club of the Damned, she agreed to travel with them, believing this should be easy.

As they traveled to a far-off secluded mountain concave of Vorin, she learned the reason for their journey and her presence. Back in the earliest of times, when Fegall had obtained his mantles, he spoke to other immortals of a need for their help to create stones with a fraction of their own power for use at a later time that he foresaw. The understanding was that these stones could only be held by someone of that faith. A stone was created by Lady Yeraiah, and Dela's purpose was revealed.

When they arrived at the Vorin concave, it was already under demonic attack from those seeking the stone created by Lady Yeraiah. The attacks were unending, with wave after wave assaulting the library stronghold, trying to overwhelm its defenders. In hopes of diverting the attacks, they departed the mountainous stronghold, but the demons razed it anyway.

Once back in M'Chek, Dela was strongly urged to take the stone and protect it with her life, avoiding places with large populations and cities. During this discussion, Mr. Jenkins took to studying a man named Finn and his overcoat. As they parted company, Dela spoke to Cousin Fabello about acquiring a wagon and a horse. Her plan was to embrace her birthright and take to the trails like a proper Romini, reaching the Blackwater. Its mysterious and forgotten ways gave her a chance to stay hidden from those seeking what she had been entrusted with.

The next morning, a wagon was where Cousin Fabello said it would be, and a group of Romini were working hard to make it travel-worthy for the long journey ahead. By midday, a pair of stout horses were led in, followed by a group of men carrying rigging and harnesses. That evening, Dela and Mr. Jenkins were putting the team through their paces and learning to control the wagon since it had been a lifetime since either of them had traveled this way. Before sunrise, they set out to meet up with a caravan traveling to Toran Shadra and then to make their way north to the Blackwater Fenn.

During her ordeal, Dela learned more about herself and her purpose than most people ever do. She adopted her niece, who became her daughter. She married, and her husband left to seek out the one known as Plague, who was behind the demons seeking the stone. Plague was using waves and sea creatures to attack the land. Dela discovered secrets of her beliefs and faith, saw places that are only mentioned in historical footnotes or long forgotten by all but a sage or two. She slipped into a deep depression, believing the love of her life had perished at Plague's hand.

Seeking solace, Dela sought out the seers of the Romini in hopes of learning the ways of fate and changing it for others. Learned the ways of crystals to see into the future and the past. Learned of the cards and their secrets they reveal; including being given her own deck by an old seer. She discovered that when worn, the stone spoke to her, though she refused to admit whose voice it could be. It warned her when she would be needed to save a mother or child during childbirth and tried to help her through her depression, comforting her with the belief that her love was not lost but always with her.

Once they crossed into Orcish lands, Dela's depression deepened even more. Little is known of their travels through the lands of Dubant and Brekon, but it is known that they made it into the lands of the Seven Cities and reunited with the caravan of her birth. There, Dela spent years traveling with the caravan, serving Yeraiah, and helping women in need and with childbirth rites. She visited abbeys or temples to Yeraiah, and word of her travels and the safety of what she protected reached Myleah and Mikona, always sparking rumors of her return.

Dela's Ordeal: Wagons Ahoy, is an emotive Plethora-approved adventure that is a side story to the much larger Red Star storyline and comes to life via her journal. Based mostly in Toran Sharda and in The Seven Cities around the Blackwater River and Blackwater Fenn.

Travel Map and Charts

8uWmHmUl.png

After the events on the Roseriver, Dela, and Jenkins departed for better employment. They embarked on a different kind of journey. They traveled to the port city of Dormiria. Where Dela enrolled in the Navigational College there. She presented her logbooks and letters from the captain of The Grace and from The Prize of Andarr to gain entry. Was here she truly flourished for the first time. Never having any formal education and was able to conduct on par with others enrolled that had such backgrounds. She also for a time cleaned up her bad habits of drinking too much and indulging in pleasure. Here she studied coastal navigation and open sea navigation via celestial means. Orienteering via landmarks and maps. Not to mention understanding the skies to determine the weather and understanding the clouds. How to properly chart courses and log them for records. As part of her training to become a navigator 1st class, cartography was a required skill. A skill she excelled in her final year at the college.

During this time, Mister Jenkins worked for the Dormiria Cargo Consortium. A guild of cargo masters based out of a warehouse near the Northern Refuge, who specialized in loading heavy loads into long haul ships. This warehouse is also where Dela and Mister Jenkins resided for most of their time in the city. As they tended to avoid the Caravan District on the chance of running into relatives of Dela.

She created this map based on her travels up to that time from maps within the college library and from other navigators she met while studying there. This map charts the sum of her cartography work at the college and is the map she carries to this day in her map case; denoting her travels by ship, wagon, and other means.

The interior lands are copied from several atlases on campus and from stories told by adventurers in taverns or that booked passage on ships she crewed on. It is by no means as accurate as the coastal map is. Dela is rarely inland for long except her youth spent between the Blackwater and Dentry Rivers and her time in Jechran.

  • The Dancing Crane route changes its color due to the captain's death off the eastern coast of T'Nanshi. He died from natural causes and the first mate taking over command.
  • There are not charts denoting the journey of the Baskerville or the Scarlet Harlot. Due to Dela not having her sextant with her as this takes place during Dela's Ordeal: Club of the Damned.
  • The wagon is the charting course for Dela's Ordeal: Wagon's Ahoy

Mister Jenkins

dFa3AR9.png

One day, while traveling along the trail between the Blackwater River and the Blackwater Fenn, Dela encountered a satyr who began following her wagon. As he walked along the side of the path, they struck up a conversation and quickly became friends. Over the next few years, the satyr followed the caravan whenever it passed through the area, spending all day and night with Dela. He shared stories about the Blackwater River and the Blackwater Fenn, protecting her from boys spying on her as she bathed, playing games, and taking little trips into the Fenn together.

When Dela learned she was to be wed against her will, it was the satyr who helped her escape to a new life. He dubbed himself Mister Jenkins, loyal manservant to Miss Esme Grey, and thus began the adventures of Esme Grey and her loyal manservant.

Mister Jenkins remained by her side until she tricked him and shipped out without him. During that voyage, the ship sank, and she became Sea Kissed. Jenkins spent many years trying to track down his friend, searching the coast for tales of her and the ship. When he heard the ship had gone down, he refused to believe she was gone and doubled down on his search. He scoured the western coast and, when no new information was found, moved to the eastern coast.

By chance or luck, Jenkins heard a rumor about lost souls, the Sea Kissed, or better known as the Club of the Damned, in Mikona. He discovered that Esme wasn't called Esme and that she and the others didn't know who they were. Jenkins left his calling card at the bar they called their clubhouse and went to the Temple of Yeraiah, knowing that she always prayed there before shipping out. The temple hadn't seen her but had been expecting her for some time. They urged him to wait.

Soon enough, her ordeal was completed, and her memories returned. Mister Jenkins was reunited with his Esme and began planning new adventures, including getting her drunk and signing her up to crew on another ship bound for Jechran. When she returned to the south, he was at her side.

These days, Jenkins has taken to wearing a coat like his 'spirit guide,' a fellow named Finn. He claims coats have the power to command respect and the ability to lead others. Jenkins continues to be a loyal and steadfast companion to Esme, ready to embark on whatever adventures lie ahead.

In all their time together. What she knows of him could only fill a scrap of paper:

  • She does not know his name in fey but knows it's not Mister Jenkins.
  • She knows he follows Mishlekh.
  • She knows he loves nymphs and hates fake nymphs.
  • She knows (won't admit) he looks after her like a father figure.
  • She knows when called up, he an outright bastard with that dagger.

Georgiana Matilda Jarrom

Georgiana Matilda Jarrom, affectionately known as Tillie, is the adopted daughter of Dela. Originally from the Stone Spokes Caravan, Tillie's life took a tragic turn a few years before meeting Dela. Her caravan was attacked while crossing the Hammer Rift, trying to make up for lost time due to weather delays. The exact nature of the attack remains a mystery; some believe it was giants, trolls, or orcs, but no one is completely sure. Tillie was one of the few survivors of this horrifying event.

She was discovered by a search party from the Twisted Vine Caravan, led by Dela's brother-in-law and husband of Viviana (Via) Delilah Jax. Tillie is Via's niece and, therefore, also Dela's niece. Not accepting the responsibility of looking after a blood relative would bring shame upon the Jarroms and upset the spirits.

Via, showing that she had learned from the best about being selfish, plotted with Mister Jenkins to leave Tillie with Dela to teach her a lesson in growing up and because Tillie was a lot like Dela. Instantly, Tillie proved her worth. She helped Dela with dressing and reconnected her with her Romini roots. Not only that, but she also assisted everyone in the caravan, engaging in work-for-work trades and helping with various tasks.

Tillie's negotiating skills shone brightly when they traded with merchants waiting to cross into M'Chek at the main Eridanian River ferry. She haggled prices for fabric, questioned the freshness of fruit and greens, and even negotiated prices for supplies that Dela and Mister Jenkins hadn't realized they needed. Her prowess left everyone impressed, and they asked Dela if she was proud of Tillie's efforts and contributions. At the same time, they inquired if Tillie was proud of Dela for taking her in and helping her.

Tillie's presence brought a sense of renewed purpose and responsibility to Dela's life. She not only proved to be an invaluable asset to the caravan but also helped Dela grow and mature in ways she hadn't anticipated. The bond between Dela and Tillie deepened, and they became a formidable team, each supporting and uplifting the other.

Over time, Tillie's resourcefulness and determination continued to impress those around her. She became known for her quick thinking, sharp negotiation skills, and unwavering loyalty to her new family. Her story of survival and resilience inspired others, and she became a beloved figure within the caravan.

And just like that, the fates revealed by Via's cards had played out exactly as they were meant to. In a traditional Romini ritual, Tillie accepted Dela as her mother, and Dela embraced Tillie not only as her daughter but as her own blood. With this acceptance, she was renamed Georgiana Matilda Jarrom, a combination of her birth parents' names while keeping Matilda. Thus, she became Tillie to all within the caravan and blood but Georgiana to the outsiders they encountered.

From that day forward, Dela and Tillie were rarely apart as they traveled. Tillie adapted quickly to the Romini way of life, and her bond with Dela grew stronger with each passing day. She proved to be an invaluable helper, assisting Dela with various tasks and chores, and she brought a newfound sense of joy and purpose to their lives.

When the caravan was settled in camp and their chores were done, Tillie would run off to play with the other girls in the caravan. She reveled in the freedom and safety of her new life, exploring the world around her with a sense of wonder and adventure. Her laughter and enthusiasm were infectious, bringing smiles to the faces of everyone around her.

The caravan community embraced Tillie as one of their own, and she formed close bonds with the other children. Together, they played games, shared stories, and learned the ways of their people. Tillie's resourcefulness and quick thinking often impressed the elders, and she was seen as a promising young member of the community.

Dela watched with pride as Tillie thrived in her new environment. The bond between them deepened, and they became a formidable team, supporting and uplifting each other. Dela's love and care provided Tillie with the stability and security she needed, while Tillie's presence brought a sense of renewed purpose to Dela's life.

As they traveled from place to place, Dela and Tillie encountered various challenges and adventures. Together, they navigated the complexities of their nomadic lifestyle, always looking out for one another. Their journey was filled with moments of joy, learning, and growth, and they faced each obstacle with determination and resilience.
