The one they called the Gentleman,
Though the title did not fit his way.
After centuries of death and ruin,
It was finally put to rest today
A group of six brave Valokians,
Set out to destroy him in his lair
I, as witness to their actions,
And to report what happened there.
Upon entering the cavern,
We were met with a warning,
The Gentleman was far below
And we'd likely not see morning.
They pressed on undaunted,
And I, of course, stayed near.
The rooms were filled with shadows
I could scarce hide my fear.
Vampires, bodaks and fiends of shadow,
Wave upon wave, they did attack.
The Valokians held fast and strong,
Bravely fighting, never looking back.
Hordes of creatures sprang from dark
Like some sort of twisted test.
Beast by beast and room by room,
They valiantly laid each one to rest.
We came upon a darkened room,
Different from those we traversed.
The room was still and void of life
And I began to fear the worst.
Out of shadow, the beast it did appear
He was at least two stories tall!
With flaming wings, and booming voice,
He threatened that he would slay us all.
With a quick nod to one another,
They began their final attack.
As he showed his mighty powers,
I worried we might not make it back.
With a slash of a mighty sword,
They severed his only retreat.
As Magnus shouted his true name,
The Gentleman would be beat!
They fought long and bravely,
I could scarce believe what I saw
They gathered together in divine light,
And I stood back in awe.
These brave warriors of Valok,
Had carried out their plan.
They did what none could do
and destroyed the Gentleman!
