Clerical dweomers are non-instant deific incantations that are placed on a person or object. Most of the major nine gods, known as the Great Nine, can produce the same or similar dweomers for their worshipers. Many times they are in competition to make sure that one deity's clerics can not overpower the other. This is especially common in evil deities.

The minor gods, i.e. those who are not of the Great Nine, have adopted similar practices, although the amount and selection of their dweomers may lag behind at times.
