SCHOOL OF ILLUSION | |||
Described commonly as the arcane art of the unseen, its followers excel in deceiving the naked eyes with false images to their targets. Commonly practiced by gnomes due to their natural affinity to it, other races do practice this arcane form with certain mastery as well. Spells of Illusion unlike other schools of magic, do not physically change the targeted entity but merely affects and alters the surrounding of the target to project a desired image to the wishes of the specific caster. The effects of these spells are by no means perfect as individual targets may resist its effects dependant on the entity¡¦s will power. Targeted entities are still bound to the laws of physics that govern the surroundings of the target and it is important to note that only specific components of the illusion pertaining to vision is affected but the other sensory outlets are not subjected to the effects of illusion unless stated otherwise. Another lesser understood aspects of the school of Illusions pertains to the Phantasm where the mind of the specific target is clouded by a introduced image or message and that of the Shadow, drawing from the extra dimensional energies to create a quasi-real entity that can directly interact with other entities in their surrounding environment. Gnomes are rumored to have greater control over the realms of shadow being able to enter and exit at will hence having an innate affinity for the School of Illusions but this hypothesis has yet to be confirmed and recognized by all institutions of arcane studies. Noteworthy spells in the School of Illusion includes Invisibility, Ghostly Visage and Weird. Absolute followers of the School of Illusion are prohibited from the School of Enchantment for the differences in philosophy in the shaping of arcane arts. | |||

SCHOOL OF ILLUSION
