History
Born to an overly possessive mother after a winterlong mating with a stranded hunter had happened to find her grove in seeking shelter. Toova, was named after what her mother wanted and desired the most; a good daughter. Over the years, she was taught the ways of the Dryads and of nature. Her mother would teach her to commune with the trees and helped her plant her own Silverly Oak and made her believe that her life was entwined with the tree. This would keep her from ever leaving the secluded grove, next to some nameless creek that was frozen most of the year, off in Tyedu. When other Fey would travel by Toova was allowed to visit and speak to them but had to hold her mother's hand; even as a teenager. If men stumbled upon the grove, Toova had to instantly hide in her tree without argument. As she grew a little older and a little bolder, she spied on them to see what the deal was. She starts to wonder if one of them is her father. Each time she brought it up to her mother, it is met with outrage and anger that she will leave to live with men.
Maybe it was her seventeenth or twentieth winter, which is when her life would change forever. With fall showing all signs of being shorter than normal and a harsh winter fixing to fall upon them. The two made their preparations for surviving the harshness. But her mother, who had been more occupied with keeping her daughter in the grove away from everything else. Had neglected her own tree. Disease had set up the tree, leaves yet to fall and the once silvery bark was yellowing and weakening the bark. The tree would not live through the winter nor support her mother. Her mother was also showing the same signs of the disease too. Which caused Toova a problem as her mother's plan was to enter Toova's tree with her and they survive together. As her mother made the final plans, she retreated into her own sickly tree to gather the essence of the Heartwood from deep within the tree for use in the spring when she would plant a new tree. As her mother did. Toova looked to the clouds and beseeched Verrosia to set her free from her mother and to remove the taint of disease from the grove and in turn she be her instrument without question. With that, a single bolt of lightning came crashing into the tree of her mother splitting into two and scorching it completely. She praised the curing of the grove and then merged it into her own healthy tree.
The next spring, she emerged out of her own and was greeted with the rotting and decomposing remains of her mother and her mother's tree. She was pleased as it returns to nature and will allow new life. She tended to her own tree and upon the first acorns forming. She picked them and did as her mother was doing as the lightning struck. Once, she knew the acorns would survive travels. She departed her mother's grove, where her mother's corpse and tree were decomposing and returning to nature, along a stream that was still mostly frozen and still had no name, in the lands of Tyedu.
