The Order of O'Ma

As the name implies the Order of O'Ma, is a Holy Order dedicated to the fairy god O'Ma. The only requirement is that the potential member must be a follower of O'Ma and willing to live by his teachings.

The Order is based in the city of O'Ma, Elysia. However, individual members of the Order should not feel tied to the city or even consider it to be their base; members of the Order go wherever they are needed. O'Ma teaches us that we should always strive to serve for the greater good, and that calling often leads us far from our home base.

Anyone of Member or higher rank can make a follower another member, all that is required is that the prospective member is a follower of O'ma and wants to be involved with a group of fellow believers. Champions are not required to be members, even if instructed and made a Champion by one of our members, but we accept all Champions if they so desire it.

After their induction an Inductee becomes a "Novice", this is the lowest of the three ranks within the Order and should be considered a first step along the path. Over time a Novice, as their understanding of the ways of O'Ma grows, will be promoted to the rank of "Foot Soldier". It is the job of the Foot Soldiers to help guide the Novices. Some Foot Soldiers will also be assigned the position of Lieutenant, while this is not a higher rank then Foot Soldier, it does carry other duties. The position of lieutenant is also carried across to the EDF if this is applicable. The final rank in the Order is the "Warrior". This is the highest rank within the Order of O'Ma and at any one time up to three Warriors will form the leadership of the Order. However, it is possible to be a Warrior without being a leader in the Order.

Many members of the Order also choose to serve Elysia directly as members of the EDF; this choice is up to the member in question. A member is free to join or resign the position in the EDF at any time. Membership of the Order of O'Ma is also one of the ways to become a Champion of O'Ma. The Champions are the Holy Warriors of O'Ma, and while they have close links with the Order they also operate separately.

The following are the varied ranks within the Order of O'ma:

Great Elder: Only one person may hold this rank at a time, they are the leader of the Order of O'ma.

Elder: These are senior members of the Order. They are promoted to this rank by the leadership of the Order. Reserved for those who have served in the Order for a long time, to honored and sometimes retired members. The rank recognizes those who have exemplified themselves over the years.

Elder Devout: As Elder but reserved for Champions.

Devout: Reserved for Champions only. Equivalent to the member rank.

Member: Members are everyone else who are Members. We care little for significant structure and wish that all members are treated equally and with respect.
