The alarm bells were ringing, at the keep not so far,
I was puttering in the house, the door ajar-
I grabbed my boots and cloudburst too,
And down to Finmaegan keep I flew.
The Dominators were all in a tizzy
Just as bad as I get when my hair is all frizzy
They had been robbed, no idea who,
No idea how, just some remnants of ooze.
A cup was missing, special to Lord Evershield,
About what it was for, the Dominators lips were sealed,
They offered a reward, to return the cup
Then two young lasses spoke up.
Not far to the north, they had seen a trail
Stinky, and slimey, we followed it, we set sail
on foot through an ocean of slime
oh and boy oh boy, did some people whine.
Ooze and blood, mixed with rain and mud,
The smell was atrocious, the muck seemed like a flood.
Little oozes, big slimes, elementals,
No matter how you look at it, they were detrimental.
Through the central lands of M’chek,
We followed the trail and tried not to retch
Just north of South Hill, we found a band of orcs
They too were in a tizzy, eager to work.
Fighting, slicing, dicing, we fought,
Orcs and slime our poor noses were fraught,
Finally down to the last orc, we saw the cages
Not only cups they were stealing, but they were also slavers!
We saw the long boat coming,
In the distance, orcs were rowing,
The last orc, was bleeding ooze,
Then he started to schmooze!
We didn’t linger and chat,
we took him down to the mat,
Then from the puddle he rose,
He was a giant ooze.
The battle continued, he finally fell,
And dear Mikon, after that, I wanted to ring a bell.
Back to the keep, we traced our steps,
because the slimes were inept.
The Dominators were happy, I think,
They gave us a reward, but didn’t let us use the cup to drink.
Ooze master defeated,
energies depleted.
