Introduction
Majestic birds often trained by adventures to be loyal companions. Their superior eyesight and speed are their greatest assets. The female is usually larger then the male.
Feeding Habits
Smaller animals are its main diet. snakes, squirrels, lizards, fish, rabbits, smaller birds, mice and any other small game found on the ground. They will also eat grasshoppers and crickets and carrion if nothing else is readily available.
Disposition and Social Habits
The young hawk is feed by both parents until it leaves the nest. Hawks usually prefer hunting at daybreak and nightfall. They tend to make their kills with their claws unlike the falcon which catches with its claws but kills with its beak.
