How I Started on Avlis

I got interested in Avlis when I was wrapping up my Computer Science undergrad degree in late 2005. I wanted some hands-on experience on a team programming project. I'd been impressed with NWNX2 when building a mock up for a PW idea (based on Fritz Leiber's Lankhmar books), so Avlis seemed like a good place to volunteer.

Before getting a reply to my subcontractor app, I rolled a character and started playing. I saw how big Avlis was, and decided to enjoy it for a while before following up. Now I just keep putting it off... but at least I'm helping with the wiki.

I'm married to a med student, and we live in a '50's suburb in Southern California. I work as a business systems analyst at a local college - I mostly use PeopleSoft, but also do a little web design and system adminstration. I like to hike, see friends' bands play, or work on my house.
