How to contact us:
Recruiters are Vastan Thenald in Mikona (PM), Hert Snyder in Elysia (PM) and Willan Patson in the Kurathene Empire.(PM). However, speak to any of us and we'll point you in the right direction. The Ordained wear silver and gold armor with blue capes, with either silver or gold edging. Initiates wear distinctive blue and gold armor with star-marked shoulder plates. Feel free to either send a PM or post a notice on the in character forums in one of the above cities (though our most active bases are still Mikona and Elysia).
What we do:
Follow Gorethar's teachings, defend those who can't defend themselves, stamp out evil and chaos.
What to expect:
A hell of a lot of fun. And everything you'd expect from an LG organization. We offer training, crafting, battles, etc. We go on expeditions to destroy undead, participate in city defense, law enforcement, rescues, and other quests.
The Order of Gorethar is one of the oldest player run groups in Avlis, and we're still going strong, with 30+ active members, and over a hundred retired ones, almost all of whom have impacted Avlissan history in some fashion. The Order is one of the closest knit groups in the game, and though one of the hardest to get to full membership, there is a lot of great RP along the way with a super bunch of players and interesting characters. If you're a paladin or a cleric of Gorethar, you should talk to us.
While it may be obvious that we have a large number of clerics and Paladins amongst our ranks, we actually have a diverse range of classes in our little group. We even had a bard at one stage. Whether you're a sorcerer, wizard, monk, psion or just a plain old fighter, as long as you're LG come and find out more about the Order of Gorethar.
Ranks and Advancement
There are a number of ranks in the Order of Gorethar. Those seeking membership must be accepted as probationers, and from there they can advance through a series of ranks until they reach junior membership, and then full membership. Advancement is NOT fast, though often it is steady.
Rank Names, in ascending order:
Adherent (probationer)
Aspirant (novice member)
Inititate (junior member)
Ordained (full member)
High Ordained (required for senior positions)
