I've always observed this spell to have a duration of 1 round/level, not a minute/level as stated.
A wonderful travelling spell in the higher levels. By your teens, there aren't a whole lot of Level 1 spells that you're using regularly. At that same time, the duration of Expeditious Retreat is around a minute-and-a-half, meaning you can really cover some ground.
