The first page: clearly written in a dash, with a small amount of dried blood spattering the page.
A squeak. Nothing in sight;
Glance around, feel the fright,
Out of the shadows comes the bite!
Savage fur; the rodent flies,
Straight for the neck! The victim cries
Out! Gurgles, and swiftly dies.
Beware the Deadly Osquip;
Flee before its might.
It is the stuff of legend,
King of rats by right.
