Hello!
About Me
Hi! My name is James and I am an Avlisaholic. I live in the midwest USA in Iowa City, Iowa, home to my alma mater the University of Iowa (that's a lot of Iowa, innit?). When I'm not playing Avlis, I am a Software Quality Specialist (i.e.: Software Test Engineer without a CS degree) at PEM, a subsidary of Pearson Plc, one of the largest ... companies... in the freaking universe. Or something. I test a system used to deliver high-stakes standardized testing through the internets, with a focus on Pearson's suite of formative assessments, PASeries. I also occasionally find time to pursue hobbies such as playing guitar or trumpet or pretty much any other musical instrument I can get my hands on, watching movies/listening to music/reading books/experiencing media, drawing and painting, and the occasional political activism or volunteer work.
Avlis
On Avlis I play the character Fergus Goodmane, Archmage of the White Order of the Light, as well as a few relatively-unknown alts. I also do a bit of QA testing and other subcontracting work to help keep Avlis up-and-running.
