What is an Animal Companion?
The Fylgia is capable of bonding to the spirit of an animal, beast or magical beast. In such a bonded state, where the spirit inhabits flesh, the creature has a preternatural bond with it's master. This bond goes beyond the normal Empathic one a Ranger or Druid can utilize on just about any animal. Indeed, this Companion becomes more an extension of self.
