Last night I was sittin
At the City Gate Inn
Just drinking again by myself
Having such a good time
Right here drinking my wine
With just me and nobody else
When in walked a man
With a glass in his hand
Who sat down at the bar with a smile
He said my glass is empty
So sir could ya lend me
Enough coin to drink for a while
So I pulled out some gold
And the barkeep I told
His drinks are on me all night long
Then I told the poor chap
You'll be paying me back
By listening to all of my songs!
