Introduction
Typically docile in nature, these skittish herbivores, gather in small groups that scatter quickly when threatened. Often they are hunted for their hides.
Feeding Habits
Deer are browsers. Feeding on all sorts of plants even fungi, lichens, small twigs and tree bark. Like goats and horses, they will also seek out natural salt licks.
Disposition and Social Habits
Most males will leave their mothers after a year and never see her again, but females will often loosely gather with related females. Herd size depends on food sources and predators.
Habitat
Grasslands to woodlands. Deer are widely dispersed across all of Negaria.
Fylgia
Most compatible: Dire Boar
- I put the deer with the dire boar because that is where I would put goats, sheep, and cows. They are are all animals that forage more then hunt and some of them have domestic relatives.
Other notes
People with the deer totem are often highly sensitive and have strong intuition. The deer spirit teaches us to be vigilant, move quickly and trust our instincts.
