Introduction
The common badger is a small but fierce animal. It's strong forelimbs are armed with long claws, used for both digging and self-defense.
Feeding Habits
The badger eats earthworms, insects, grubs and the eggs and young of ground dwelling birds. I've also seen them eat mice, snakes and frogs.
Disposition and Social Habits
Some badgers are solitary and some live in large clans.
Habitat
They can show up in forests, woodlands, beside streams and on open plains.
