Talk:Epic Spell:Hellball
"With this spell, there is no place to hide and so while a successful reflex saving throw can reduce the damage taken there is no way to escape it completely."
Actually, this is incorrect. One can be near the epicenter of a Hellball and take no damage whatsoever if you break LOS with the blast point. One of the few area spells that acts like this -- actually the only one I can think of, but I'm probably missing some. I just checked, and it still operates in this fashion after the epic spell changes.
Kinda cool, actually, that you can see the swirly effect before detonation, and run for cover before it explodes.
Love the damage/level change; it rewards the mages that stay focused on their craft. Chamalscuro 23:11, 11 January 2008 (PST)
