Introduction
Standing taller than most humanoids, the long claws of the owlbear fall in a merciless rain of well-aimed blows that spell a painful and slow death for the unwary. The Owlbear is perhaps one of the more interesting creatures you will encounter in the platforms of T'Nanshi canopies. A hyper-aggressive and just plain mean-spirited creature, the Owlbear has no known natural genesis. Strong evidence supports it being some form of experimentation from the M'Chek-T'Nanshi war. If there is truth to this matter, it would have to be only the second most successful form of Bio-Manipulation I have ever encountered. The first being the Sereg'wethrin.
Owlbears stand approximately eight to ten feet tall when upright, but usually lumber about on all fours like their bear progenitors. Weighing in at almost 1500 lbs, the sheer size and stature of these creatures makes them impressive combatants. Resembling a cross between an owl and bear, their fur and feathers range from a light ruddy brown to deep auburn, and almost black in some cases. Their deep red-rimmed eyes show only aggressiveness and madness.
In most cases, these carnivorous creatures live in mated pairs amongst the canopies, hunting in familial packs; parents and adolescents attacking any creature bigger than a mouse.

Disposition and Social Habits
The Owlbear combines the keen-eyes of the Hawk and the awesome power of the Bear into a relentless and merciless barrage of deadly attacks. Aiming for vulnerable positions, overbearing the opponent, using supreme musculature to land more powerful attacks. Add to that the pack mentality, and the owlbear is not to be taken lightly.
