Their Love Goes On
by Brant Risko
In ages past, there were two young lovers
Each night they spent, both dreaming of the other
Their love goes on, their love goes on.
She loved him so, and she became his wife
But one dark day, her worst fears came to life
The world moves on, the world moves on.
The wars had come, the battles reached their land
She held back tears, as he turned and released her hand
Then he was gone, then he was gone.
The months passed by, and still she didn't know
Each night she cried, because she missed him so
Her hope stayed strong, her hope stayed strong.
Each time she'd think, she couldn't face another day
That's when he'd come, into her dreams and say
Please carry on, please carry on.
After two years, came a knock upon the door
And her heart leapt, like so many times before
It had been so long, it had been so long.
Her love stood there, his face so worn and battered
But as he smiled, their love was all that mattered
Their love goes on, their love goes on.
