Kaj'ilel is a Tyeduan spirit-god attached to the Ilel River in northwestern Tyedu. He presides over a tribe of the same name, and guides their migration along the waters of the river. Like a steadily flowing river, Kaj'ilel's guidance is fair and unflagging, encompassing whatever facets of life his people require, and waning in times when the people are encountering times of ease.
Legend holds that Kaj'ilel was the son of Mikonator and a local spirit goddess that used to control the river. Shortly after his birth, a roving force of the Negerai's minions came through the area and killed his mother, leaving him in his father's care. The Mikonator worked to purge the area of remaining demons before leaving his now full-grown son in peace to migrate along the river. Gradually, as he befriended the new human inhabitants from the south, he took up a position of reverence among them for showing them the skills to survive in the area, and he holds this position to the present.
