The Brothers Steelheart
This story reads as a not terribly detailed biography of three dwarven brothers, the Steelhearts. Born in a small village near Bazgamph, two of the brothers, Rommert and Droggin, apprenticed in their father's smithy. The youngest brother, Garrett, a bit more adventerous than the others, eschewed the smithing business for the life of a traveling merchant.
Throughout the years, Rommert and Droggin began to specialize in weapons and armor, respectively, gaining a local reputation for exceptional work. Garrett Steelheart enjoyed little success as a merchant in northern Deglos, before hitting upon the idea of headlining his wares with the equipment made by his brothers. After a quick trip home, Garrett headed south to Nanshi Urbaz for a fresh start, with three suits of armor and a small cache of weapons packed into his wagon. Garrett never reached his destination on that trip, instead selling every last one of his brothers' creations by the time he reached the Crossroads.
Within a few years, Garrett's flourishing business had made all three of the brothers quite wealthy, and the exceptional craftmanship of the two Steelheart smiths had become quite well known throughout all of Deglos and Galdos. Rommert and Droggin turned over their local shop to apprentices, preferring to concentrate on some significantly more difficult pieces. Garrett, or Bushy Red as he is better known, is only too happy to oblige his brothers, taking special orders and charging exorbitant prices for the masterful creations.
