How to Make a Fairy Big
How to Make a Fairy Big
Once upon a time, in the great city of Elysia, a small fey, named Girri, found her way to the Ivory tower to make an unusual request. Girri wanted to be big for a day, so that she could go on a picnic with a boy.
Girri met with a mage named Hester and her familiar, Sally (who was also a fey). Sally insisted that they take on the project to help Girri. Sally suggested on a hunch, that Girri could use her own fey magic to become big. So Sally and Hester delved into a research project, hunting down a way to make a fairy big.
Several experiments later, the two came up with a plan (aided by Rose, Yennifer, Kory and Mhog'ar). Girri had a special gem, a firefly gem, (she used it to create fireflies to chase), the gem would be infused with a special concoction, and then set into a wand.
In a large bowl, they mixed ten vials of fairy dust, with three shapeshift infusions (one infusion for each gem) to the mixture and added a gingerbread golem (for sweetness). Once the concoction was mixed, they added Girri's special gem, a large topaz and a large alexandrite (for lasting long enough to picnic and fifteen charges so that she could practice being tall). While the gems were soaking Hester cast a mantle of egregious might on the concoction twice, to give it the extra tingles of the spell and to help get rid of some of the remaining liquid that didn't soak into the gems. The mantle increased the sparkles that were coming from the bowl.
When the sparkles slowed down, Hester took the gems out and set them into an ivory wand, which she then gave to Girri. Using her fairy wand on the ivory wand, she made her wish to be big, and imbued the ivory wand with a spell that was able to make her about, well nymph sized?
A very pretty lady, ready for a picnic!
