"... shuriken are a real bitch to make if you are a beginning smith. Sure, they look easy, but you've got to get them balanced just right or they ain't accurate at all.
"Take the Shocking Shuriken, for example. Melt down three ingots of bronze. Then crush four crystals of quartz into a fine powder. Now, pour the quartz powder into the molten bronze and stir it until it's mixed up real good. Then you pour the metal into molds and trim off the excess, making sure they are balanced well for throwing. If you don't suck at this, you should be able to make fifty shuriken this way."
