Meygle Pass Rescue
Many were gathered for FEAT adventure
When white orcs came to the port
They held up staffs and with them drew
Fiery-red pentagrams on the ground
And people vanished without trace
Thus were they all taken away
Humphrey, merchant of much reknown
Genevieve, always found at the Port Hole
Indiga songstress, daughter of Narwë
Before the eyes of their friends
There were Aen'dyr, Anell'rill, Trina
Narwë, Delurion, Pilder, Rune, El'gos
Malin, Brant, Bud, Rorl'n, Shannen and Owen
Hard-faced in resolve to save those gone
They formed a group of many strengths
Though the Orc-feet left no trace on ground
Only one place are the white orcs found
Through Meygle pass into the mountains
Deep caverns form a dangerous path
And the orc-dwellings lie at the end.
Steadfatst they marched into the dark
Fighting traps and foes in ruins forgotten
Even the gods would not let them rest
Those who fell rose up to fight again
And at last they faced their foes
Over the battle-cries bowstrings twang
A shower of iron upon the orcs fell
Shields were raised, weapons held high
Glittering in the light of mighty spells
Thus did the heroes meet the foe-men
Strong-limbed and cunning were the orcs
But they lacked the Mother's furious song
Striking their hearts with fright and dismay
Blood-stench filled the air, and little time
Was needed to cut their lives short.
And thus to ruin were brought the foes
The punishment of their crimes was death
Indiga, Humphrey and Genevieve were found
Beside a kettle wherein they should boil
To make a good stew for the savage orcs
Outside the caverns back in Roseberry Forest
A strong force of Rakshasas fell upon them
And the heroes were almost annihilated
But the gods smiled upon the brave
Once more were they victorious and now safe
Thus ends the tale of the adventurers brave
