Persistent Storage Chests (or P-Chests)

A p-chest is a text based system that stores items. As the name suggests, the contents of a persistent storage chests will persist through server reset. Any modifications to items (e.g. redye, renames, crystal or other augmentations, items with modifications from other CoPaP worlds) will remain "as is".

Fixed Storage Capacity

This type of p-chest allows for:

Standard access - key holder access only
Public access - no key required to access

P-Chest (Fixed): This is the standard persistent storage chest available.
- All items are listed alphabetically.
- These containers must be plot.
- Key is optional (chest can be open to all).
- Menu pages are infinite on a fixed P-Chest.
- Storage capacity (number of squares) is fixed at 875. You cannot upgrade a fixed EP-Chest.

Expandable Storage Capacity

Another variant of p-chests allows for expanding the storage capacity. This can be done incrementally in game, through the p-chest conversation options. This will incur In Game cost.

This type of p-chest allows for:

Standard access - key holder access only
Donation access - anyone can place items in, only key holder can view & take items out

In Game Cost

P-Chest (Expandable): This storage is best utilized for large inventories, like the storing of crafting components. However, it can be used as a normal storage chest for smaller inventories, too.
- All items are listed alphabetically.
- Chest must be plot and key locked, no variation allowed.
- Initial storage capacity is 400 squares of storage, and infinite menu pages (or any number of different items).
- Storage capacity (number of squares) can be bought up in-game, in increments up to infinite capacity:
  +200 squares of storage = 40,000 gold.
  Unlimited storage (squares) = 1,120,000 gold..

Legacy P-Chests

In its early history, Avlis employed a non-text based p-chest storage system. While this is still in use in Inns and Fairs, Avlis Player Housing no longer offers this type of storage and aims to replace all instances of its use in Player and Guild Housing.

Conversion of Legacy Storage to Text Based

How to request it: In a Team Request, Player Housing Update.

How it works: The property or guild owner chooses either a fixed or expandable p-chest. Player Housing creates a new storage container and temporarily leaves the old container in place so that item migration can take place In Game. Once migration is complete, Player Housing removes it from the module.

How much does it cost: It's free. Fixed p-chests begin at their maximum 875 square capacity. Expandable p-chests begin with their standard 400 squares, but the player can contact a member of the Assist DM staff in advance (BEFORE you begin moving items) to have 3x upgrades (+600 squares worth 120,000gp) performed for free.
