Santus Night at Drakehally
by Ammikia Beign

Was Santus's Night
All was quiet in the lands of Drakehall
for not even the Toraintes were about
chasing the wild fey lady trying to get her to behave.
As they had each gone to sleep with dreams of
sweet justice and order brought to chaos
that drifted about their minds in an orderly fashion
of course.

Even the Romini, including the red one
had gone to their wagons with dreams of loaded dice,
rigged games, coins abound, and even taming those squirrels to do his bidding.
But one had drunk himself into a stupor
and held a book of poems to his chest
as his heart was still broken.

The sweet pup had curled up by the tree,
looking after the daughter of nature
that had blessed them all and almost
brought the roof down.

All the cats of the keep had minded the warming of Freya.
The ducks, she was giving from the hunt
were hung from the racks, dressed in spices for the morning.

Then something was heard.
What is that upon the keep.
Running up the spinning stairs as fast as her feet could go
but not fast enough was she.
She heard the bells,
she caught sight of the sled climbing into the sky.
She waved and look about and thereupon the high tower
two gifts for her and her love.
She fluttered and bounced as she waved as she shouted
PEACE AND JOY
at the top of her lungs from the top of the high tower
as the sled turned and flew right over her head with a hearty laugh.

Was Santu's night and how did she forget.
Chaos was hard to find even for a fey.
Earlier even smoking out a blue dragon
wasn't enough for her but enjoyable all the same.
She searched high and low for the havoc
She sought the mayhem but didn't find it.

Climbing the stairs with a defeated fluttered.
She wondered into the lounge of the keep.
Where she found the lord of the keep
snoozing in a comfy chair.
She shook him softly and whispered to him as he arose.
"I have a gift for you, my lord" she whispered.
To which he asked what it was.
There were giggles and laughs as she proclaimed
"A box. my lord"
The lord smiled and asked what was in the box.
To which with a flutter of her wings the candles went out,
the fire roared to life and the door shut softly.
Followed by peace and joy in threes.

As the people of Drakehall slumbered with dreams
of the season. All was well within the lands around the keep
unless your that bastard Nelthrope, cause he counting
his days as the cannons are primed, loaded, and pointed right at him.
