Sonnet 2
By Diziet Est-Vorre
If outside of this window it should rain, I'll rest my cheek against your chest, and breath your breaths till sleep arrives. The candle flame will gutter down -- and drifting smoke will wreath About your brow, and you won't feel my tears run down your skin, or lips upon your head. But outside of this window all is clear, So when you're done with me you'll rise from bed, Caress my neck and whisper: My lover-- Then part. Oh love, if there were only rain.. You would not trade my warmth for another's, I'd lie with you, not grasp at where you've lain. Ah, having hurts as much as losing you, So have me love, and do what you will do.
