History

Batumawberk /bay-too-MAW-berk/ is the capital and seat of power of Demon Lord Ternus. From this vantage point located conveniently next to the Ferrell Cavernway, Lord Ternus controls trade leading to the surface for a wide swath of southwestern Negaria, and the taxes garnered from this trade is what powers his small empire.

During the Demonspawn Wars, this area served as a major staging ground for attacks on the surface roughly three centuries before The Great War.

The city lies roughly in the center of Ternus' territory and is dominated by its central marketplace. Surrounding this market are residential areas, temples, and the smaller keeps of Ternus' vassal lords, which have several lesser vassal lords unto themselves that also reside within the city.
