PCs:Kassha Firehart
A flighty sorcerer from Bachwood, Kassha Firehart has spent most of his adult life wandering in and out of trouble across southern M'chek. Quite adept with Transmutations, Kassha erratically follows his one consistent goal; to become a Master Transmutant. Although fickle, flighty, and as changing as the west wind there are several constants in Kassha's life that keep him fairly grounded; chief among these is the Red Order of the Flame.
Trouble at Home
Kassha was the seventh child born to Peri and Sala Firehart on a small farm near Bachwood. With four older sisters and two older brothers Kassha soon learned in order to get attention you had to stand out. Every now and then his hasty scheming for attention would back fire but his pearly whites usually got him out of trouble ... that is until Brianna Haggleshort. Brianna was with out a doubt the prettiest girl in the area; long red locks, deep blue eyes, and an ample bosom guaranteed she always got her way. An un-repentant flirt, Kassha soon obtained Brianna's attention with treats of candy, flowers, and sweet words; all of this right under the nose of Brianna's fiancee, or so he thought. The problem was Brianna's fiancee was quite aware of Kassha's flirtations. At first he ignored them, but when he caught Kassha and Brianna sneaking off to a barn he confronted them in a rage. The furious fiancee burst into the barn right at the height of Kassha and Brianna's passion; naked, a little drunk, and really confused Kassha did the first thing that came natural to him ... he cast color spray. The spell worked, dazing the suitor while simultaneously staining random objects random colors. Brianna burst into tears at the sight of her favorite dress stained a deep orange; Kassha on the other hand was pleased that the magical misfire saved him from a severe beating and used the precious seconds obtained to gather his clothes, make a naked dash from the barn, and take a slight pause to admire his hair in a rain barrel which was once raven black, and was now a deep luxurious purple. Hearing Brianna's sobbing and a furious fiancee bursting from a barn, Kassha cast his second spell and quickly decided on a vacation.
The Umbrella of Chaos
Random chance played a large part in forming Kassha's second most consistent trait; his devotion and use of the Umbrella of Chaos. In an early attempt to impress the beautiful and stern Captain Pike, Kassha somehow managed to pick up skill with a wide variety of weapons and armor. Mimicking Captain Pike he first began devoting himself to the exclusive use of swords of an un-natural size. However by random chance; he began to see it was not the weapon, but who used it that was important. Never a big fan of rain, Kassha began to see the unique and sometimes deadly power of umbrellas as the ultimate weapon. Sadly, most umbrellas are not made of sterner stuff and Kassha destroyed several in the process of perfecting the art of the umbrella. Still he persevered and his efforts were rewarded by finding the Umbrella of Chaos. Seized from the lair of OldFrostyGritchesAlot, empowered by magic, and tempered by the heat of battle; Kassha has transformed this umbrella into something that is more than the sum of it's parts. Kassha quickly points out that when strange things occur around him, it isn't his fault ... he blames the umbrella.
More Recently
At the urging of Magus Flenken, Kassha begain considering joining the army. Some how, he still isn't quite sure, Kassha found himself in army brown. After a few minor patrols/skirmishes Kassha had a flash of (rare) insight that he probably won't be officer material; which suited him just fine as he finds it much easier and more fun disintegrating whomever his superiors deem necessary. When he isn't on patrol he is usually found wandering around his adopted city of Mikona. Until recently a malaise had settled on poor Kassha. He was his usual out-going bubbly self but there seemed to be a spark .... a passion that was missing from his actions. For too long his un-requited love had focused on the beautiful but stern Captain Pike and clouded his already poor judgment. Suddenly as if an answer from the gods Kassha met Petunia. After spending a wonderfully flexible night with Petunia Kassha woke the next morning with a note on his pillow, her scent in his nose, but more importantly the malaise had lifted from his soul and Kassha got his grove back. Occasionally when the urge takes him Kassha will briefly search for Petunia, not sure of who or what she was.
