The Brotherhood of Alsahra During the waning years of The Great War, the majority of orc mages were hastily researching and preparing the final evocation spell that would lead to The Orcish Destruction. This effort was a direct mandate by the Gold Order, and all initiated magic users were required by the Arch Mage to comply with and contribute to the cause. Several prominent figures in the Gold Order did not agree to this proclamation, however. A group of high ranking necromancers among the orcish ranks believed that the theory and research behind the evocation spell was flawed and that it was likely to fizzle, or worse. They also believed that a turnaround strategy would be more effective than a last ditch blowout to take the entire continent with the dying race in the case of a failure. Gathering their necromantic skills, these mages founded the Brotherhood of Alsahra to create an alternate plan for ending the war.
