The Champions of O'Ma are holy warriors who follow the ways of this god of nature and fairies. | |||
For a long time, the Templars of O'Ma were employed by the church as security guards. Their duties ranged from guarding temple gates, to protecting missionaries on their journeys. In the beginning, these templars were mercenaries, and no religious training was required of them. | |||
Gradually, there arose traditions that the mercenaries guarding O'Ma's precious followers must have minor instruction in his ways. Soon, this training was made official, and all of O'Ma's mercenaries were versed in the basics of clerical magic and religious functions. After foiling a major plan by Valok to enter the Prime Material Plane, Vanoviel was personally awarded the position of Champions Founder by O'Ma himself. She was the first Templar of O'Ma to become a Champion. | |||
