Introduction

This creature somewhat resembles an enormous, emaciated, somewhat ghostly feline, albeit with two pairs of forelegs, sharp quills running along its back and tail, and a pair of additional appendages reminiscent of tentacles emerging from its shoulders. Kassaerth has encountered few of these creatures. Judging from the paws, skin, and musculature, even these ones were not yet fully mature.

In battle, the bandersnatch is fearsome, typically using its claws and teeth, but occasionally firing several quills from its tail. When injured, its wounds heal unusually quickly, although it is unclear if this phenomenon is natural or magical.

Feeding Habits

Kassaerth has not yet observed the bandersnatch feeding, but presumes that they are carnivores.

Disposition and Social Habits

Kassaerth has only ever observed a single bandersnatch at once, never in a pack or pairs. Perhaps as it reaches young adulthood, the creature becomes territorial and solitary.

Habitat

Kassaerth has only encountered these creatures in the fey realm, within caves and heavily wooded areas.

Fylgia

Most compatible: Panther

  • When hunting, the bandersnatch relies primarily on stealth and incredible speed, similar to the largest feline hunters. The creature also appears to hunt for sport as much as for sustenance, similar to a cat toying with a mouse.

Other notes
