The Ultravision Bug is a known misfeature of the NwN game engine in which Darkness-based blindness does not turn off correctly. It most often occurs when a PC who has had Ultravision or True Seeing cast on them, enters and leaves a field of Darkness. Depending on the lag on the NwN engine, the "should be blind" state may not correctly be reset when the PC exits the Darkness, causing the engine to inappropriately re-institute a Darkness-based blindness effect when the vision spell expires. This usually happens long after the Darkness spell itself has expired, most often after resting.

The exact effect of this bug is that all other players and enemies to appear to be invisible, even though they are not. You also cannot target anyone.

The effects of this bug can be fixed in one of three ways: 1] Recasting a vision spell, 2] Logging in and out, or 3] Taking advantage of the special Avlis crafting menu option, by selecting: Crafting -> [8] Special Functions -> [3] Fix Ultravision bug.

The bug is actually associated with Darkness, not Ultravision. However, it has become known by this name in Avlis, and so is listed under this name here.
