Introduction

Dairy cows have been bred to produce large quantities of milk, and can easily be distinguished from other cows by their prominent udders. They must be constantly bred so that they will continue to produce milk. Female calves are usually kept to become dairy cows when they reach adulthood, while males are either kept for breeding purposes or slaughtered for their meat.

Other notes
