Introduction
Deglos Cave Crabs (Ganoomish - "Famischlefzenotik spleddie")are a subspecies of Giant Crab. Similarly decapodal, they are distinguished by their extreme toughness and their magical chaotic spittle. They attack with their large pincer-like forelegs, the others being used in locomotion, reproduction, and other tasks.
Feeding Habits
Like other giant crabs, they are omnivorous and opportunistic, feeding upon whatever they can get their claws onto, whether plant and fungal matter, dead carrion or live prey.
Disposition and Social Habits
They are often found in groups amongst other subspecies of giant crab, possibly interbreeding with them. They have the ability to concentrate and intensify their attacks on targets, often squirting or spitting streams of powerful pure chaos magic at prey, which lends credence to a supposition that they are a mutated version of giant crab.
Habitat
Lives in or near water of some depth, usually in caves of some size which have deep pools or running water in them, often sharing their habitat with other forms of giant crabs.
Fylgia
Most compatible: Giant Spider
- Most similar body form, locomotion, and feeding habits
Other notes
. They appear reddish-white dorsally, fading to white ventrally. One pincer often appears smaller than the other one. Those that survive to post-adulthood, called Elder Deglos Cave Crabs, are even tougher than the adults and may or may not be trainable, further research is needed. Young have not yet been spotted.
