The Red Order of the Flame is the sixth order of Andrinor to arise of the new mage orders. It was founded originally by Archibald Thel who through his wit, flair, and persistence brought what was once known as the unofficial Yellow Order of the Sand into transformation into the current Red Order of the Flame.

The Red Order is a mage order that emphasizes freedom of choice for good or ill for the most part and also partially at the whims of its members. The Red Order also encourages the research of new spells and new and creative uses of existing spells already known by many.

Ah, yes there is the story of the faithful day the Red Order was formed. Archibald Thel was in Elysia's Academy of Mortal Magic within Andrinor's Chapel praying when flames sprung up around him and the room shaked with barely contained magic. Lightning then struck in a spectacular way and a red and black set of robes was on the ground. The new Archmage Archibald gathered quickly from the evidence around him that the new mage order shall be ordained as the Red Order of the Flame. From there he set out to personally sweat and work to build the mage order into what it is now.
