Above the Keep - By Lorelai Silvermoon Volume 2

Finn continues the rigorous trainings and conversations surrounding the training. On the more weary days end, he can be seen lingering at his vantage point in the sky, staring off distractedly in the direction of Hel'byssia, occasionally with concern, other times with a look of defiance.

On the ground, he brings up the subjects of dragon protections for combat. What sorts of protections to expect against dragons, if any, and what might be useful for dragons and riders both to have. He discusses their suggestions, as well as suggesting having specifically strong mages and clerics out of harm's way that can add protections to dragons and riders before combat. He also asks Fair'rinth, Lymon, and Naiala about dragon armor ... was this ever typically used to protect particularly vulnerable areas of dragons, if needed at all.

On the subjects of protections, Cole offers the points that amongst the Keep and the City there are numerous powerful priests of the good faiths and magi of the Ivory Order at least, including Magus Torin who should be available to aid before any mass fighting ... though having a few within the air would definitely be a boon as well.

Musing on the thoughts of armor as Finn asks, Cole wonders what good any armor might do when dragons can rend the scales of other dragons ... though if it has existed in the past, he would be glad to be incorrect on its usefulness.

As to protections ... so far they have seen all coal dragons as their foes in the air ... now whether these are simply more efficient as scouts, or they make up the majority of the force, he does not know ... but protection against their acid breath is a good place for such thoughts to start.
