Creature Name: Blink Dog
Observations by: Svipdagr
Creature Type: Magical Beast ((Currently Trainable but probably pulling from Leaping Hound as it's the same model.))
Creature Subtype: Canine
CTS trainable: Not yet (submitted, but not yet reviewed).
Introduction
Previous research has said, "An intelligent, predatory canine with limited teleportation abilities, Blink Dogs hunt in packs, 'blinking' randomly until they surround their prey." While most think the dogs "blink" randomly, there is actually a clear strategy to their blinking. The dogs often are blinking to the weakest of the prey, much like how a pack of wolves will pick off the weakest animal in a group. Currently they have been seen breeding with the Avlis Leaping Hound and having Leaping Blink Pups.
Feeding Habits
Hunts in packs and often can take down prey much larger than themselves due to their tactics. Occasionally eating carrion.
Disposition and Social Habits
Always in packs and territorial but not openly aggressive unless bothered.
Habitat
Most often found in the wooded areas of the Blandenberg Protectorate, usually north of Blandenberg proper.
Fylgia
Most compatible: Wolf
